NOKESVILLE, Va. A man killed his three young sons before taking his own life, police said.
The bodies were found late Wednesday night after neighbors called police and asked them to check on the children, said Sgt. Kim Chinn of the Prince William County police.
Chinn identified the father as Robin Edwards, 37. The children were Bradley Edwards, 9; Ryan Edwards, 7; and Kyle Edwards, 5, she said.
The bodies were found in a home in Nokesville. Chinn said police believe the slayings and suicide happened Wednesday afternoon.
Chinn said no motive has been determined in the slayings.

How sad. My three children are those ages. I have to wonder what happens to someone who goes over the edge like that. With the stress of life continuing to rise with deeper debt, failing marriages, children who have no respect for their elders and companies who demand more of their employees...I can see where one can loose it if they have no peace in their lives. No outlets to get away from the destructive and depressing side of life.
We'll never know why people do these kind of things, but I believe our society as a whole has contributed to these events. God and family needs to come back to the top of our lists, not the pursuit of wealth, possesions and power. Then, maybe we can have a little more peace and harmony in our homes. Fewer divorces, with children growing up with manners and morals.
This man lost all hope, not only for himself, but the future of his children.
