Yes, but as someone mentioned above, those new mass graves are very worrying.

If he had to live all this time as a captive, only to lose his life right as freedom was arriving, it would be the worst.

Somebody will have to pay--and pay severely--if that happened.

"How does that work out?"

Watch the Doris Day move "Move Over Darling". She was married to James Garner. Drowned at sea supposedly, but really was alive on an island with a good looking guy. Declared dead by judge so hubby could marry. Came back just in time to stop her husbands honeymoon. Thelma Ritter was the mother-in-law. She paid Don Knotts to say he was on an island with her and interested only in studying flowers. Watch the movie to find out the ending....

I love that egg. The Idaho egg is beautiful, too. Love the dogs and the eagle.

A bit of trivia for ya... That's a remake of "My Favorite Wife" and was originally titled, "Somethings Got to Give" and starred Marilyn Monroe, Dean Martin and I think Cyd Cherise (I could be wrong about Cyd). Marilyn was fired and production scrapped. Supposedly when she was in negotiations to start filming again, but was found dead on August 4th or 5th (depending on which version you believe).

A couple of years later they renamed the movie and put Doris Day in it instead. Fox released the footage from Somethings Got to Give and it's really a shame that it was never made. Marilyn looked really beautiful and it was very funny.

I spoke with my kiddo in the Sand Box!
Unfortunately it was for bad news but he was allowed to call home. He lost his Mother in-law and one of his Niece in-laws in an accident Monday. article
He is doing well but cannot come home for services. It is still a dangerous place and people should still remember them in prayer.

On the A-10. That airplane is a marvelous wonder. I don't know that I am a fan of the DU-ammo, but it does its job.

In these military campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq we have seen the services working almost as one service -- that is a great thing. One of the reasons for the Apache and the other gun-choppers of the Army is that only chopper allowed the Army to fly by way of the exemption of "non-fixed-wing" craft. Yes there were a couple fixed wing spotter planes (Taylorcraft) that the Army could use, but that doctrine that split the Air Force from the Army really bolluxed tactical ground support. As I rememebr the A-10 was stopped beacuse it wasn't sexy enough for the jet fighter mindset in the AF command -- and the Army was pouring resources in the gun-choppers. So good old Long Island Fairchild's A-10 production facility was scrapped.

One of the greatest warplanes ever designed and built -- shut down as an orphan to inter-service rivalries.

Easy to maintain, rugged, low-train of logistics ignored because of the fixed-wing rule, and the AF's ignoring of the ground support role, replaced with the non-fixed-wing gun-choppers, constant high-maintenence, fragile, high-train of logistics.

I don't know if the A-10 line should be restarted -- maybe -- but it should definitely serve as the starting point benchmark for a design contest of a Warthog II.

The head of the museum was just on Fox.

Not one person asked him why he didn't do what HE was suppose to do and MOVE that stuff.

Just like we cannot take Scott Peterson's word for when Laci was last seen, so we need corroberation by non-Iraqi specialists for the actual story on these artifacts. Every pre-march 17, 2003-Iraqi-official must be heard through the Baghdad Bob filter.

Oh, darn. I missed that segment.

Not one person asked him why he didn't do what HE was suppose to do and MOVE that stuff.

It's always the coalition's fault.

I agree. in the A-10 the designers returned to the principles laid down for WWII fighters: ruggedness, reliability, heavily armored, and long endurance. The Air Force wants dogfighters that can attack ground units occasionally. The A-10 defends ground units well, with a nod to air combat by carrying Sidewinders.

In future combat their will be greater need for close air support than air superiority.

I know if I were on the ground I would rather see an A-10 than an F-16 overhead.

From yesterday, I think the reason people are worried about SARS isn't the death rate, that's pretty low, or even the unidentified vector, it's the fact that no-one has fully recovered.

The classic "nevergetovers"...
