The popular Los Angeles based "National Iranian TV" (NITV) broadcasted, early this morning, the recorded speech of the prominent Analyst-Journalist, Michael Ledeen, for its audience mainly based in Iran. This speech took place, on Monday, at the "Olympic Collection" of Los Angeles, where, several hundreds of Iranians gathered to listen to Dr. Ledeen's comments on "Iran and the Democratic revolution". The gathering was organized by the popular and well known "Radio Voice of Iran" (KRSI) which had broadcasted parts of the speech for its audience as well.
For many Iranians, residing in Iran and who had delayed their departures to work, this was the first time that they were seeing the famous scholar about who's realistic articles they have heard so many times. These articles are very popular among Iranians who have access to the Internet as well as among millions of other hearing about them by the commentators of the KRSI and NITV.
Many Iranians qualify Mr. Ledeen as a valuable friend who has permitted them to make understand to the American administration and World's opinion about what's going on in Iran. Many believe that Ledeen's articles have been of a great contribution to the US policy of supporting the secular forces of the country.
In his broadcasted speech, Michael Ledeen, made a description of the US policy in reference to its goals against Terrorism by helping the spread of Democratic principles worldwide. He stated that such policy will help America to avoid another tragedy as witnessed on September 11th while it permits to oppressed peoples to get sure that they can reach Freedom.
True to his honest principles, he added that: "you must know that if the US is doing so, its primarily for his own interests and in order to avoid another tragedy. Democracy is the best way to put end to the threat of Terrorism as freed people will become master of their countries and their actions".
He emphasized that the US will help the Iranians by supporting them, not military, but morally.
He qualified the Islamic regime as a "total failure" on the falling edge of collapse as was the former Soviet Union and while calling the Iranians to unite, he spoke about the ways of making a Democratic revolution by using processes, such as, mass demonstrations, rallies and strikes.
He stated: "Just look what Yugoslavs and Russians did. In your country and according to the regime's official polls, about 71% of Iranians want change. Imagine just 10% of this 71% of a total population of near 70 millions getting into the streets and squares and making understand to their rulers that they have to go".
Ledeen sent a strong message toward the wealthy Iranian Diaspora by stating " It's astonishing how the Iranian Diaspora has generated a huge wealth. It must help its countrymen by supporting them. It must provide them with the small amounts of money they need in order to feed their families while being in jail... Just know that 20 millions of dollars will be sufficient for bringing down the clerics. This is something that the members of this Diaspora can do easily and permit to their countrymen to taste of the same freedoms they're enjoying in this country."
He added: " Just know that helping the Freedom Fighters, will be investing in Iran's future that can bring a lot for those of you who don't have philantrophic ideas".
On the clerics ingerences in Iraq, he stated:" We know that what's going on in Iraq is due to the Iranian clerics that are now afraid. They know that their end is near so they are making a desperate action in this country. But we will not attack Iran, no single bullet will be shut toward Iran as Iranians will overcome of the regime by themselves".
Mr. Ledeen is a scholar of the "American Enterprise Institute" (AIE) and his articles are published in newspapers, such as, the National Review and Wall Street Journal. He's the author of several books, such as, "The War Against the Terror Masters".
He made, last year, an unprecedented speech and a Q & A session in the Internet's Paltalk room of the SMCCDI, where, he reached, the hearts of many Iranians who had gathered, from many countries and especially from Iran, in order to listen to his comments and views. The news of such event program was highly mediatized by the abroad based Iranian Satellite TV and radio networks and it helped, at that time, to show the US friendly goals and to calm the fear of many Iranians on the possibility of a attack against their country.
Its taped session is available on the Audio-Video section of the SMCCDI website.
You will fall from within, Iran!!
I am confident that just as our nightmare with terrorism began in 1979 in Tehran, it will end in tehran as well. Tehran supports Hezbollah, it is syria's greatest ally, it threatened the gulf countries so that they in turn allowed the fundamentalists to run riot - Saudi cowardice and perfidy for ya. So many ill effects from the 'domino effect' of this unstable and antiamerican regime. A democratic revolution in Iran will be a huge win for our war on terror.
When it turns, the whole region will turn.
Great read. I wish the Iranian people luck and success in regaining freedom.
Regards,
L
My man Ledeen is an enormous help in what could be the next domino to fall into the lap of democracy.
The thought that the Iraqi Shiite's want an Islamic republic there, ought to scare the holy shiite out of any Iraqi who looks to the south for an example of how NOT to govern a country.
