Werner Fornos, President of the Population Institute and a former Planned Parenthood executive director, has been awarded the 2003 United Nations Population Award. Fornos, a controversial figure, has been at the forefront of promoting population control through scare mongering.

For his work in murdering all those girl babies in China, shouldn't he have been given some other kind of award, the kind that includes a long, long time spent in a hot, hot place?

The United Nations Population Fund has given the award to Fornos despite his intimate involvement in the Chinese government's coercive one-child policy...

Despite his intimate involvement? I sustpect the UN views this as a noble activity.
