Why is there no mention in this article of the Corvette? I am a lady, I have never owned a Corvette and never will, but I love them just the same; they seem beautiful to me from an artistic standpoint, and I even love to see them vanish in the distance ahead of me in just a few seconds.

I like this trend, but after seeing how Ford screwed up the T-bird reintroduction, I have little hope for any "new Mustang". However, the new Chevy SS sounds like it will be worth checking out. Anything interesting from Chrysler?

Apparently this person has not seen or drivern the Ford Mustang SVO or the Corvette Z06. The GTO mentioned is built by Holden in Australia.
Fast cars are fun....

My son-in-laws brother bought a Mini Cooper and is selling his Lexis 400. Last week he flew to Kansas City and drove the Cooper home to Eureka in 48 hours ???

Why is there no mention in this article of the Corvette?Because though the Corvette will speed off into the sunset ahead of you, you won't feel it like you will feel up the length of your spine when the throaty rumble and roar of a 1971 Oldsmobile 442 at full throttle with all four barrels of her carburator wide open as it passes you in the left lane...
"Hold muh beer 'n watch this!" PING....
If you want on or off this list, please let me know!

Uh, care to rethink that?
And this one's quite close. Hot Rod and most muscle magazines have had another built version of the '05 Mustang on the cover. Rumor is that the Cobra and Mach 1 will have the 351 (5.7) while the GT will have the 283 (4.6) supercharged. The image I've seen is not exactly like this one above, it more resembles the 67 fastbacks

The Corvette may be a lot of things, but it was NEVER a muscle car.

The '67 with a 427? It was built specifically with the 429 Dodge Hemi and the 428 Ford Mustang in mind. Good grief!! The '70 even had a 454. Mind you it only produced 390 HP out of that block but those cars were built with one thing in mind. Pure power. And I'm not even a Chevy fan

I wonder if it would be out of place to request a seperate forum for cars? Kind of a conservative gearhead forum. We could even throw in motorcycles? There is nothing comperable to the Freerepublic.com.

LOL!! The local Ford dealership here is getting ready to start taking deposits in the next month or so. Word is it will be released in April (mid year) just like the original '65 was

the new Chevy SS sounds like it will be worth checking out. Is it going to be rear-wheel drive?

I'll grant you the '67, but that '70 had an dumbed down Cadillac engine (and kept pace with the Eldo engine until '84), and you were lucky if you got 385 out of it.
