Great Opportunity for the Social Democrats in Iraq (Sarcasm Alert)

Your Social Democrat Party wants to thank our troops for winning the war against Saddam Hussein so quickly. Their victory has taken another weapon from George Bush's bag of tricks for the next election.
Now that Iraq has been conquered in the very unequal war with the United States, your Social Democrat Party leaders want to make sure that the new government of Iraq will be established according to "their" proper guidelines. Described below are some of the items that they will demand to be inserted into the new proposal of government for Iraq.
Senator Ted Kennedy wants to make sure that there will be no guardrails allowed on any bridge within the borders of Iraq. He says this will provide for better views of the natural beauty of the deserts.
Representative Nancy Pelosi wants to insure that there is a provision for the gay and lesbian part of the Iraqi population. She insists that the population of Iraq must be educated as to the values of homosexuals and, to that end, feels that every elected official must profess to be either gay or at least a little light in the loafers. She will also insist that more harems be built for the women to be able to play behind closed doors in the privacy of their own rooms.
Representatives Maxine Waters and Charles Rangel will insist that Jessie Jackson be allowed to arbitrate all disputes between the religious and ethnic minorities and the ruling United States military. Congressman Rangel says he is the only man on earth that can bring it all together. Of course Je$$ie should be rewarded for his time and efforts.
Senator Tom Daschle will insist that the nation of Iraq reimburse the military for purchase of a completely new and modern fleet of wide body passenger jets for our troops when they deploy. These new jets will be furnished with soft leather reclining seats wide enough for each soldier to be comfortable, even on the longest trip. This does not have anything to do with the reconstruction of Iraq, but he says that Mrs. Daschle can get the government a special price from the airlines for their used fleet of aircraft.
The most important and critical action will be from Senator Hillary Clinton. She will insist that there be no more imbedded reporters with the troops. These "Fox Network" reporters have a great deal of difficulty with separating facts from what needs to be reported. It is the job of our news anchors and commentators like Peter Jennings and Dan Rather to explain what is happening and why. Otherwise, the public will get the "wrong" impression of future wars and start to believe in the United States military.
I think you can appreciate the good your leaders of the Social Democrat Party want for the completely innocent country of Iraq. After all, George Bush senselessly attacked the poor people of Iraq, and not the other way around.

I, of course, did a search and could not find that this had been posted. The author is a professor in the Pensacola, Florida area, (not known to me).

Conservatives need not worry. The Clinton Administration left the U.S. and the world in such terrible shape, it will take 6 Republican presidential terms just to get back to a place where we will can take a relaxed breath.

I had to keep looking for the "sarcasm alert" tag. This article was so true-to-life that I kept forgetting it was satire!

Certainly the Republican-majority Congress didn't have anything to do with that... i'm sure Clinton was foiling there every attempt at worthwhile legislation.
To: Egregious Philbin
Imagine what it would be like if we hadn't had Republicans to put good legislation, like a balanced budget amendment and welfare reform, on his desk?
To: Cincinatus' Wife
Hmm, balanced budget.
I'm just saying i'm not too impressed with our politicians, conservative or liberal, Republican or Democrat, and that the Senate often has as much to answer for as any President's administration.
To: Egregious Philbin
The Senate needs a lot of help. It is a disgrace.
To: nicmarlo
LOL ! This guy comes up with some good satire sometimes. Thanks.

LOL ! That pic is more appropriate for SCOFLA than the good professor.
The very first article of his I saw posted on FR I sent him a scalding e-mail and he wrote me back a civil note, pointing out that I should read it again and keep in mind that it was Satire. I was a bit embarrassed, but he was really nice about it.
