Only 5 earths! Looks like I need to give up my taste for locally grown organics and convince my girlfriend to stop composting our food waste. Better luck next year!

Interesting. I answered honestly, and my score was 4.5 planets. I took the quiz again, and kept every answer the same, except that I said I was from South Africa, and now I'm only at 2.9 planets.

The quiz demonstrates the idiocy of Environmentalism. Wealthy people are better for the environment. This is a demonstrable fact. Our part of the world is cleaner, our people are healthier and we produce enough food to feed the world many times over. Do I feel guilty for that? Hell no!
These arguments are based on Ehrlich's theories about scarcity and resource consumption. According to these people we should have run out of resources years ago. In reality, as we advance technologically (i.e. become more wealthy) we use resources more efficiently and do less damage to the environment in making them available.
The model that this quiz is based on is KNOWN to be flawed. So take heart and have another steak on your way to pick up the kids from soccer practice.

Having said that, while I think this quiz and the intent behind us is excessive, it wouldn't hurt conservatives to be more personally responsible. It doesn't hurt to use a little less water, to recycle, to think things thru a little bit.True, BUT
Free Republic is an online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the web. We're working to roll back decades of governmental largesse, to root out political fraud and corruption, and to champion causes which further conservatism in America.
And we always have fun doing it. Hoo-yah!I REFUSE to feel guilty.
No flame intended.

4.3 earths here. One of the questions made me wonder....
Compared to people in your neighborhood, how much waste do you generate?
Much less
About the same
Much more
Reminds me of Curly's line in 'City Slickers': "I crap bigger than you."
