My dad gave me Kipling's "If" on a beautiful card when I graduated from highschool. I kept that card close by for a long time.

America is the leading force in the world There will always be one top dog. I am glad it us. There are not a lot of other nations I would care to see in the top spot.

"If you do not yet have the grace to love God, at least the knowledge of His power should cause you to fear Him." Amen.

Finding any wisdom on the internet is quite uncommon these days. Finding this much wisdom, so eloquently stated in one short editorial, is more than uncommon, it is almost unheard of. Patrick Rooney reads more like Patrick Henry.

No, it is far better to be loved than feared. But as the article so succinctly pointed out, evil cannot love good, only fear it. Guess we will have to settle for feared. The good ones love us already.

He spoke of a chill wind blowing. Good, let him stay indoors. By all means. Amen!
A defeated evil enemy will always beg for sympathy. But we must never forget who the terrorists and their sympathizers are, foreign and domestic, and how they behaved when they were in power. And we must never feel sorry for them after we have defeated them.
... and a double Amen. If we ever forget this ... if we are not mindful of these realities ... then we will be in danger of things going the other way and a scenario like that depicted in the Dragon's Fury Series of novels developing. It may develop anyway, but if we are mindful of the truths spoken of in this article, we will come off the victor.

" Of course. Because it is better to be feared than to be loved." Of course if you really believe that, you're on the wrong team.

The US must never again be the Rodney dangerfield of the world. They will never love us unless and until they become free and prosperous. Even then they may envy us enough not to love us. But a policy of destruction of our enemies will get their attention.

Fear of the U.S. Is the Beginning of Wisdom Excerpt:The goal of terrorists is to strike fear into the hearts and minds of their enemies. Now the roles have reversed, and the terrorizer has become the terrorized. Thats beautiful.
A defeated evil enemy will always beg for sympathy. But we must never forget who the terrorists and their sympathizers are, foreign and domestic, and how they behaved when they were in power. And we must never feel sorry for them after we have defeated them.
I have said that America is the greatest force for good in the world. Terrorism is the greatest force for evil in this world. The showdown is on, and by my count so far its U.S. two, terrorism nothing.

evil can never love good, but it can and does fear good. Now if we can only convince the Republicans that the left will NEVER love them and to play for keeps.
