Also 'Helen of Troy' was premiering on cable last night, I expect Suzie to use that as a crutch.

Hopefully real Americians were either watching FNC or the Bob Hope Special. I am glad her Artic movie got a ICY RECEPTION..

I heard about that last week; so tired of Hollywood taking a true story and apparantly not finding it 'interesting' enough, and change facts to suit their vision of it. If the story can't stand on the facts, don't make it. Or don't tout it as a true story.
Poor ratings due more to poor story than her exercizes of free speech. But of course, that will be her convienent excuse...

CBS can try to spin this loser any way they want. The bottom line is people are fed up with these prima donnas. I also agree that the subject matter was grim and that may have been part of the problem. I am sure CBS was thrilled to have her in the movie as they stated but it'll be a cold day in he!! before they risk dough on her again.

Well, Susan, how do like your right to free speech now, huh? Wah!
Some (idiotic) things are best left unsaid, eh? . . .
No, meekie, she won't learn; now she'll spout even more hateful things.....they are IDIOTS, ya know! : )

I voted for Saddam and all I got was this bloody T-Shirt!
Ask not what you can do for your country - ask what you can do for Iraq!
Same face - different war.
"Bush is a racist"--Danny Glover
"I think America has no experience with terrorism or even with war. In Europe, we know a little bit more about these things." --Peter Gabriel
"As dumb as this administration is, they don't look ahead. They don't know where any countries are...They don't really know much about anything."
"Now you have people [in Washington] who have no interest in the country at all. They're interested in their companies, their corporations grabbing Caspian oil."-- Gore Vidal
In my country the atmosphere is poisoned. Unbreathable for those of us who are not on the right. So thank you for inviting me to this festival and allowing me to leave there for a few days. -- Jessica Lange
"So when I see the American flag, I go, 'Oh my God, you're insulting me.'"
"'We're here, we're queer!' -- that's what makes my heart swell. Not the flag, but a gay naked man or woman burning the flag. I get choked up with pride." -- Janeanne Garofalo
"I believe he thinks this [war against Iraq] is a war that can be won, but there is no such thing anymore...We can't beat anyone anymore" -- George Clooney
"[Bush is a] sad figure: not too well educated, who doesn't get out of America much. He's leading the country towards fascism... he wouldn't understand the word fascism anyway." --Larry Hagman
"It is inappropriate for the [Bush] administration to trump up a case in which we are ballyhooed into war."
But, a few years earlier:
"...the bottom line is that I think its appropriate for the international community in situations like this to intervene [in Kosovo]. I am in favor of an intervention. On some level you have to say that at least somebody [Clinton] is doing something." -- Mike Farrell

.... FOUND THIS AT HER WEBSITE
The Guest book is now closed I have decided to close the Guest Book. Just for the record, I am pro peace, anti Saddam, pro America and anti Bush. Inconsistent? Yes, but that's life. If you disagree, that's fine by me, but I won't give up my Web space to the ill-informed right-wing rantings, peppered with This site has attracted some adverse comments from visitors who are ignorant enough to think that "liberal" is an insult. It isn't - it's a compliment. Let this serve as a reminder to the rest of us that there are still some genuine bigots out there. Just remember that Free Speech is unconditional and does not have a tag line of "only if you agree with me".

Gee, that Bob Hope special was nice! Loved it when he 'growled' at the gals and showing all the places he went to entertain the troops-what a treasure he is.

Did they really show that on cable? Yes, but the camera was discreetly framed so that nothing untoward met the tender eyes of the American viewing public. I was standing on tiptoe looking down but it didn't help...

It is not clear if it was ICE's subject matter -- a woman suffering from breast cancer in the South Pole -- or if it was viewership rejection of Sarandon that resulted in the startling ratings crash.Actually the cr@ppy ratings were due to both.SS has a penchant for choosing roles which consist of men-hating FemiNazi "victims", narcissistic leftist baby boomer chicks, or eco-wacko-vegan-pacifist-leftists who lecture the audience about the horrors of America.
In short, SS usually stars in predictable angry/depressing leftist chick flicks--who in their right mind would want to sit through another one of those??

It sounded like the woman on whom the story was based had a great deal of courage. It could have been an interesting movie. Too bad it had to involve Sarrandon. Too bad CBS did not know in time what the star of the movie was going to do in public to screw them of revenue.

Apparently the American viewing public, in philistine ignorance of the Constitution, does not understand that Susan Sarandon has the right to be listened to. She has that RIGHT, dammit. If she is not listened to, that is called fascism. And it is a chill wind of fascism, not just your garden variety fascism.

. . .she won't learn; now she'll spout even more hateful things.....they are IDIOTS, ya know! : ) Yep ! It seems that the Liberals understand only HALF of the formula. They insist that they have RIGHTS (which they do, of course), but they forget/ignore/don't care (whatever) that with rights comes responsibility !
Doh !
Posted with my apologies to Homer Simpson and fans :O) . . .

The only reason my wife and I didn't watch the show, because we both had an interest in the subject matter, was because Susan had the lead role. We decided to just sit and read.
Maybe America is stating to voice it's sentiment.
