The Ten Commandments wins the 10:00.
Cool.
I was flipping around the dial at about 10:00. I couldn't put the 10C's on, or my five-year-old would have wanted to stay up until the end. We could catch up with the video during the week. Anyway, I happened upon Icebound on SeeBS. In the scene, Sarandon was gathered with all of the good-looking, earnest twenty-somethings as they figured out how they were going to deal with her problem. It was the completely formulaic chiming in of "Gee, I can hook up my microscope to the internet" and "I can use this coffeecan and a really long string to set up a teleconference" McGyver wannabe conventional problem-solving session that you have seen on TV a million times over. Kind of like the A-Team without the guns. After about a minute, I could take no more, and switched it back to Chuck on ABC.
PS. My daughter fell asleep at about 12:30. She's really groggy this morning!

Just remember that Free Speech is unconditional and does not have a tag line of "only if you agree with me". I think she is getting it.. She has freedom of speech but people don't have to listen either. It goes both ways.

I am confused. Is Susan giving us the peace sign or indicating the number of viewers? All two of 'em! :)
I'm confused also. Why is she flashing a VICTORY SIGN? Isn't that a pro-Bush sentiment?

WE HAVE RIGHTS, TOO!!! : ) Of course we have rights. She has her right to free speech. Years ago, agents INSISTED that the Hollyweirdos keep their mouth shut, to keep the $$ pipeline flowing. That benefitted both the agent and the actor/actress. Nowadays, it's a free-for-all.
The Hollyweird gang can say what they want, and have a right to do so (always have too!). When they DO, and they offend their audience, their audience has the right NOT to throw their hard-earned $ at the idiots. They'll never learn though, as you say ! Hey, if a RAT is punished for an undesirable behavior, it will learn from the experience. But when a 'RAT is . . .
hehehe!

Or 'The Ten Commandments' in prime time on ABC..you can't get any more in the Easter spirit than Chuck Heston/Moses parting the Red Sea! Nothing like a Jewish event to celebrate a Christian holiday.

That Sarandon has to stoop to star in television says a lot. How many "A-list" celebrities do you see starring in tv movies? Now, there might be one or two who are becoming A-list who started out in television in the first place. However, it's very rare that you see someone with a very successful career in film, doing television. Take a look at Bette Midler, she had her own series, which flopped, and she is hardly in anything worthwhile as far as movies are concerned. The same with Martin Sheen. Before The Worst Wing, the last time I saw him was on a Bablyon 5 movie! While television is certainly not the kiss of death for a celebrity, it doesn't look rosy.

Hey, I like Moses, I've always liked Moses, ... well he is sorta our guy too isn't he?

I was watching Franco Zeffirelli's Jesus of Nazareth on The History Channel instead. I watched that earlier in the day. In the evening I watched The Ten Commendments.

If you haven't had enough schadenfreude already today, try this:
I read in the paper this weekend that "Providence" (starring anti-Bush Clymer Mike Farrell) was finally cancelled, due to poor ratings. LOLOLOLOL!!!!

Dammit!
Listen up, fascists!
CBS can air any darn thing they want.
The first amendment guarantees them the right to lose all the millions they want to!
(/end brainless rant)

A rerun of NBC's LAW AND ORDER [10.2/16] took top honors at 9 PM; ABC's holiday airing of TEN COMMANDMENTS [8.9/14] won 10 PM. The guy that stars on Criminal Intent also signed that "Hollywood 100" petition, but he was't in your face about it like Serandon and her whiner husband.
I don't particularly despise someone for having a well thought out personal opinion that differs from mine but when the ad hominum attacks against the President start, that's where I take offense.
