You know that's because it's front end was inspired by the very lovey early 50s 3100 truck.

They should have named this one the 2003 Toyota Fugly!
Be the laughingstock of your neigborhood! This is not your father's Toyota! A tasteful merging of Japanese engineering expertiese and French marketing genius!

The Prius is a hybrid (gas/electric) vehicle. It uses gasoline but the electric system increases efficiency by recovering momentum lost during deceleration. The net yield is about a 20% increase in fuel economy.

I think the Element is in the running with Aztec and Helen Thomas as the ugliest thing in the world.

Does anyone know of a FR type site for cars?
To: decimon
I dunno, I just can't see myself buying a car with prison slits for windows.
To: Bogey78O
Need parts?

Yeah! Here's one that looks just like mine, except mine's bright red with a white top and black-and-white upholstery:
The whitewalls went years ago, though. My dad's original owner. It has the police pursuit V-8 in it, and it will flat go. Problem is stopping it with the single shoe drum brakes. I think I'm going to spring for the disc brake conversion.

Not really. Patricks took care of my drivetrain...all the rest of what I have can be redone.

I actually owned one of these. It was a major POJ (piece of junk) and we were lucky to see the last of it. That was when Chrysler thought they were engineers and knew all about building cars. In fact, it ran like a bad truck and had endless mechanical problems. Plus it was seriously ugly.
To: Paulus Invictus
I owned one as well. Ran like a top, and yeah, it was ugly, and no one took it seriously, until I lit it up. I didn't have any mechanical problems with it, then again, I was a mechanic, and it was my secondary car.

Wow!
One of these days I will have to read up on what happened to Studebaker.
I don't know why they didn't sell tons as they were the best looking cars by far. (IMHO)
To: Mo1
It has the best "face" - I want one.
The car I hated the most was the one that you can't tell if it's coming or going. It has a back end for a face. Know which one I mean?

2004 Toyota PriusI hope the bright yellow color is not indictive of anything. It sort of reminds me of the old VW hatchback that was such a bow-wow.
