How do you know he is number 45? Is there a list somewhere that is available online, or is that merely something Fox News said? TIA.

New Iraqi deputy prime minister to focus on the economy Iraq, Politics, 7/31/1999

Iraqi President Saddam Hussein decided to appoint Hikmat Mizban Ibrahim al-Azzawi as a deputy prime minister, joining Tareq Aziz, the official for political affairs, and Mohammed Zubaydi, a member of the revolution leadership council.

Diplomatic sources in Cairo said today that appointing al-Azzawi to this post in addition to his position as finance minister of the Iraqi government reflects the desire of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein to revive the economy.

Meanwhile, a military spokesman in Iraq said that yesterday's US - British strikes led to the killing of nine citizens and injured 23. He added that the Iraqi anti-aircraft artillery intercepted the US and British fighters flying high over southern Iraq.

What a sad sack. Handling Saddam's billions hasn't made him happy. He must have done it for love.

He heard the Marines found his 320 million U.S. stash.

Yes, loss of that stash stashed in neat aluminum cases must have "deeply saddened" him. It would seem it was ready to load up into an ambulance and drive out of BAghdad with lights flashing right under the Marines' noses. He underestimated the Marines' ability to sniff out the scent of money.
