Is this A&E thing just newsreels we've already seen? I enjoyed it. Some of it is tape we have already seen, but it is put together well. It is not just about Pvt. Lynch, but also the women in her unit. Interviews with the families, some background. All in all, I think it was well done.

Anyone know if this $656 million dollars is in addition to the $320 million found earlier?
Elsewhere in Baghdad, a U.S. Army patrol from the 3rd Infantry Division stumbled on an estimated $656 million in U.S. currency, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday night on its Web site.

Is this A&E thing just newsreels we've already seen?Yep, pretty much, same pictures and tapes you've seen, along with some interviews with family and friends and McCain and some WW II POWs.
As I wrote earlier, the show was not that bad. Not great, so you wouldn't have to feel bad if you missed it, but not totally repulsive if you want something on while you are doing something else.
And as Ragtime Cowgirl wrote, "The PFC Lynch story ... appears forced, unprofessional, (not the usual polished A&E production).... " (The program was edited quickly, so it could include the latest information.)

They found 80 metal boxes, each containing $4 million dollars each ($320 million total). This was in $100,000 bundles of $100 bills in US currency. I saw the report, and saw the boxes and the bundles of money. It had been hidden.
Now, how can that much US money be overseas? Didn't anyone wonder where all the $100 bills were?
Oh, another interesting point was that it was all old bills, before they enlarged the picture and changed the engraving.
When was that done? It seems to me that we have an important clue here.
Suspicious Miss Marple wants to know who was in charge of burning the old bills as they were returned to the Treasury in exchange for new ones.
I am almost certain that change in the money was initiated during the administration of our usual suspect.

I posted without reading your post. I've been thinking about all the money and weapons all over Iraq. Really unbelievable. Check out my link in #14 more money found.

There was a post around here the other day that mentioned Russia had zillions of 100 dollar bills that were counterfiet and led to the creation of the new bill. These could be sham also.
