Can you say implanted memories? That's what I observe as well. Sounds like the CIA and FBI mind control at work to demonize David Koresh.
To: Terriergal
Looks like we have a bunch of "what has ... Koresh ever done to warrant our invasion" ppl here...I'm one of them.
What did Koresh do to warrant an invasion?

Kiri Jewel related how the Davidians had been taught to commuit suicide by shooting themselves through the hard palette. Funny that none of the Davidians was shot that way.

The government has confessed to doing all of the following:
- Using an APC to breach a large diesel fuel storage tank.
- Using large numbers of pyrotechnic ferret rounds to produce substantial concentrations of a gas which, in sufficient concentration, can be extremely flammable.
- Driving APCs through exterior walls, supposedly to provide means of egress, ignoring the fact that any openings thus created would be too cluttered with debris from the now-unsupported upper story to be navigable.
- Using CS gas for the stated purpose of herding everyone toward the center of the building and away from any exits.
If the government didn't by its own actions start the fire and kill all those people, it wasn't for lack of trying.

The bodies in the forensic cooler melted when someone cut the power.
The front doors disappeared--and their evidence of shots fired from outside through them.
Carlos Ghigliotti died suspiciously while producing FLIR analysis showing 200 shots fired by ATF/Delta at occupants trying to escape fire.
Delta operative planted shaped charge on roof of Concrete Room killing twenty women and children inside.
Tanks pumped flammable (methyl chloride) CS into holes punched on three sides to create flue--kerosene lamps burning since feds cut electricity and windows covered to prevent Lon Horiuchi's sniping occupants.
Incendiary shells fired by feds--proved after denials.
No drugs--which were the reason for the posse comitatus waiver.
No firearms violations as described in warrant.
In short: a massacre of 80 U.S. citizens, men, women and children by out of control federal gestapo commanded by an alcoholic bull dyke serving traitor-rapist42 and Hitlery das Butch von Buchenvald.

My question is "why?" Why did the government do this? Of course, many of the things which you mention were obviously coverup, but I'm not talking abou that. There was obviously some big secret objective that was at the root of this entire fiasco, and I can't figure out what it could possibly have been.
I have heard that it was all about funding -- that the BATF needed a big "Showtime" and publicity to convince Congress to maintain or increase its funding. I don't buy into that theory as the primary reason for an operation this large and nefarious.
No, there was some major goal sought to be achieved, but for the life of me I can't figure out WHAT????

Like I said, the gov't overreached badly...and I don't excuse that, but I hear echoes of the Hollywood commercial here painting him as some kind of martyr/saint.
BTW children who are being abused *are* sometimes forcibly taken out of homes. I think the argument could be made that because we didn't personally hear about it, much like we don't have access to the intelligence concerning Iraq and who exactly they are all involved with, doesn't mean it didn't happen. To minimize abuse when it is told by the victim is all too often a huge roadblock to them being set free. "No one believes me" is the first thing victims encounter when they finally feel brave enough to talk about it.

I own the video "Ambush in Waco"..In the line of duty.
Loved the movie, great score and great acting..IMHO.
Could anyone shed light on whether it was close to what really happened?
Thanks.

Hard to implant a memory when you have your tin foil hat on though. We need to send some of yours to these children to help release them from their government control chips.

You don't have a standoff for 51 days after shooting federal officers, dolt. And even more importantly, you don't do it while pretending to be a good Christian, all while reneging on deal after deal to come out. I doubt you can point me to any section of the scripture where Christ commands people to sell and stockpile weapons in a compound, and to gun down and stand off agents of the government - unless its written in crayon and stapled onto a page.
You morons make me sick - you take forbearance from legitimate geovernmental action to be indicative of some "Constimatooshkinal right" to stand off law enforcement for as long as you want.
Truth be told, BATF and the FBI could have swarmed the place on Day 1.

I didn't see the movie, but if it represented that a bunch of innocent and well-meaning law enforcement officers trying to cacth dangerous, deadly criminals were ambushed ... that is very, very far from the truth. The ATF went in firing, Koresh called 911 on them. ("Tell them to stop shooting, there are kids in here.") The surviving Davidians were put on trial and ACQUITTED of murder of ATF agents; they were found to be legally acting in self defense. Does that answer your question?

"I didn't see the movie, but if it represented that a bunch of innocent and well-meaning law enforcement officers trying to cacth dangerous, deadly criminals were ambushed

OK. That's one.
Thanks.
What you describe pretty much describes the aim of the movie.

You sound like you are antigun. BTW, one does not serve two masters. One either serves Christ or Satan.

Count me as unimpressed.
You can, however, have a standoff for 51 days after being ambushed by jack-booted thugs who couldn't even remember to bring along their search warrant.
Can you point to any piece of physical evidence that shows the Davidians fired first?
I doubt you can point me to any section of the scripture where Christ commands people to sell and stockpile weapons...
I don't have the specific chapter/verse reference, but how about "Let him that have not a sword sell his cloak and buy one."?
You morons...
Morons?
OK, I take it back. Now I'm impressed by your scintillating wit.
...indicative of some "Constimatooshkinal right" to stand off law enforcement for as long as you want.
And you, obviously, think wearing a badge entitles you to do whatever you want.
You probably believe in the "Divine Right of Kings", too.
Truth be told, BATF and the FBI could have swarmed the place on Day 1.
Truth be told, the BATF did swarm the place on Day 1.
Again, can you cite any evidence that the Davidians fired first?

Even of we accept as true the assertion that the "children were being abused", why was the resolution of the situation assigned to a group of tax collectors?

To all....you back the war in Iraq but not the actions taken in Waco? Extremist much?I cannot possibly begin to understand how one can see these two actions as being the same thing!
