"The fishing tackle and fish hooks are pretty incriminating too."

Yup. He's toast!

NN, You know, posts like that are what starts the old stuff up again. It's really time to let it go.. There is no reason to keep people divided. While people may disagree about the DW topic, they can agree on others. There is no reason to carry the division over to other threads.

Apparently he created some very specialized forms in which to pour the concrete he used for blocks. When the PD asked him where those blocks went, he could not account for them at all. He offered some lame excuse about throwing them away, but still could not produce them.

I thought that the most likely scenario is that he weighted the body, which basically came apart after this amount of time.

He even told the coastal area that he was fishing at, and that's where the bodies washed ashore months later. And he was fishing for carp, which all the local fishermen say aren't found there. And then he sold her car, and tried to sell the house until the dingbat realized that the house was joint property, and she was missing, not dead, and he couldn't sell it. The list goes on and on...

Because horrible crimes are no longer shocking and disturbing. They happen too frequently to the point we are becoming desensitized.

For example, here in Texas, there was the story of Andrea Yates, who methodcially murdered all of her kids from youngest to oldest by drowning them in the bathtub. That made national news.

But the recent news of a mother and boyfriend who killed and decapitated their kids in Brownsville did not get much notice outside of Texas.

So I am sure Michael's way of thinking is, Okay, here is another case of a man murdering his wife. What is new about this? What makes it different? What is the shock value?

He said he really feels sorry for the family, but I can see how can can see this as routine, not extraordinary enough to talk about.

"I'm watching Fox, where did they say anything about his making concrete blocks? Did they find them?"

Greta and Rita were just talking about it. When asked what he did with the concrete blocks he made, he said, "I threw them away."

They're implying the blocks, hooks and etc have been found or linked with the body.

And you can add STUPIDITY to the list. If he hadn't admitted going to the marina that day, the bodies would never have been found.

Peterson's stupid, all right, but I don't believe any sentient human being is that stupid. For what it's worth, my theory is that he did not originally plan to use that same marina as his alibi. When he was there, he must have feared someone had seen him who could identify him later, so he was forced to use "alibi B," that now-infamous "gone fishin'" tale.

Yes, they were worried he might flee. The amazing part of this whole arrest, is that they managed to keep it a SECRET, that the body was Laci's and they had the evidence they do..concrete blocks, fishing line, hooks.

This is a tightly run police department. Great job.

I imagine that they are greiving to the fullest extent now, along with knowing that Scumbag son-in-law is no longer free to criuse the bars for chicks, sell off all that belonged to their daughter and grandchild to erase the memory of her from this earth like he did when he brutally murdered them. Relif that the day of justice for Laci and Connor has finaly arived!

Bought a boat and once the plan was set in motion, he never gave it a second thought? A true psychopath with no conscience.

Thank you. What's really sad about this, is my mother wanted me to get involved in "helping" in my brother's latest escapade...retail fraud, and I refused. That was a year ago and she will never speak to me again. I took my homeless, useless brother into my home, and he stole thousands of dollars worth of cash and jewelry, and my mother just won't believe it. Not only that, but my husband and I fell for his pitiful bullcrap 4 times, and we believed him every time. Then, something must have hit me in the head and I finally saw the light! LOL

Well, now my eldest daughter was just sworn in to the BAR last year, and I am so, so, proud of her. I am blessed that I have 2 wonderful daughters and my mother won't even speak to me or them. I've washed my hands of my mother and her 44 year old "boy."

It won't work, but they will try and possibly seed enough doubt to save him from the death penalty.

Like, for example, that the REAL killer knew that Scott had been fishing in the area, and dumped the body there to "frame" him. Just you wait! OJ Trial II. All you need is a jury of idiots. Plenty to be found in Kalifornia.

I heard the interview too, wasn't it hideous? All that talk about his "glorious" marriage?

Yes. This morning I listened to his NBC 11 interview again. He is a sick man.

Can I be the first to apologize to them? It would be the best plate of crow I've eaten in a long time.

Kudos.

Wait a minute, I'm confused. I haven't heard anyone on T.V., not Rita or anyone else, say that the police have the concrete blocks, fishing line, etc. All I've heard is speculation that he used this?

What an idiot...didn't he realize that if the body decayed it would detach from the blocks or fishing line?

I've never thought this guy was a very bright bulb...I sure hope the cops and the prosecutor have their ducks all in a row and that this guy goes to death row.

I don't think the Smart case will be on court tv because it was a kidnapping, not a murder and she's a minor. However, they are working on a movie deal even though she's unable to go back to school at this time. That guy and his wife were beyond creepy.
