Yeah, he was ready to run..but thought they either would be taking longer to get DNA results, or that "they wouldn't be so RUDE to bother me on Easter Holiday!"

I agree with the PRE-meditation. It was a very well PRE-meditated murder. And I'm glad about CA not wanting to see another wife butcher walk out free. I nearly blew a gasket when the verdict came down on Simpson. The fact that she was THAT pregnant and the fact that he weighted her down takes a LOT of premeditation. I like what Dr. Wecht said yesterday - he said, "that body was NEVER supposed to surface"!! He really meant it. His take was that this was PRE-MEDITATED greatly.

Since late January, Peterson had mostly been keeping a low profile. But law enforcement had been keeping tabs on him. "Wiretaps on phones, tracking vehicles, all of the technology available," Lockyer said.

The attorney general revealed that police had attached a tracking device to Peterson's pickup. "We were careful about that information," Lockyer said.

Keeping that information secret was one reason police and prosecutors worked so hard -- successfully -- to keep all the search warrants sealed.

You in Burbank? We lived in LA all last year (Claremont). Went to Burbank a lot. You mentioned Sheriff Carona. I remember when those two girls were kidnapped last year. That same night my youngest son, 18, and I had just driven past that spot on our way up Hwy 5 to Magic Mtn. and back home again. I think it was about Hwy 14/ Lancaster turn off. That was one scary event! I wonder how those two girls are. I know they were lucky to live through that. Met a lot of great Freepers in LA last year. We enjoyed "freeping" Gray Davis a lot!!!!!!!! Sorry, Karl. Didn't mean to insult you on the title - you were the FIRST to bring us this news. I couldn't believe how long it took for everyone else (cable news, etc.) to confirm it. The facts as to where he was arrested - it's that whole "fog of war" stuff. I just think it's funny that it still says that and wasn't corrected by an admin mod....

I've followed alot of cases on FR..enough to know that there will be so much more to come out in trial. This whole case will be one of premeditated double homicide. Remember, they took 95 bags of evidence from the Peterson home..who knows what is in all of those bags... and they still have the truck and boat.

I keep thinking of that statement that they had come to the conclusion that "she had died as the result of a violent crime".

That's right, they must have tons of forensic evidence in that house. I'd be interested to see the luminol work they must have done there.

Not to mention the other body fluids that may have turned up.

But no doubt about it, if the PD call this a violent crime, there must be an awful lot of evidence to support that.

NBC just reported that Scott had 10,000 bucks and his brothers id on him.

It would seem that he was aboutto run. Good thing the police were keeping an eyeon him and publicized the FACT (heheheh)that DNA testing would take weeks...he was probably sticking around sponging off his parents until the last minute before heading to Mexico and points south.

Result of a violent crime means the had blood/tissue evidence at the home to me...they just had to find her dead body to prove that...since the blood was found in the home, she could have bleed there any time. But if they find her body..
