Sure he thinks he's slick. Because it pays off. I'm sure he gets all the women he wants.

I knew a guy like him in college. He was a nice guy, personable, good looking (my girlfriend told me so), etc., but he treated women like dogs. But I never saw him without one.

Motive? No one seems to be offering any ideas on that. My personal theory is that wife/baby did not fit in with his pretty-boy lifestyle and would be a noose around his neck. And if he simply divorced her, he'd have to shell out for spousal support and child support for a looong time.

This is my concern...if they can't show motive in capital one case beyond a reasonable doubt, how will he ever be convicted of the crime? Your theory is much like mine....he simply wanted to be free--maybe free to marry Amber. But the insurance won't be a motive, if he didn't think the body would ever surface when he weighted her down.

KFI am Los Angeles often has news first. They were first to report Robert Blake arrest, too. I was living in LA and listening to KFI at the time. I think it is 650 am.

Scott's parents rabid defense of him uder these extreme situations only made him look more guilty to me.

It is so pathological when an obviously twisted son gets such automatic defense from the parents.

It makes you wonder, what came first?

I don't think so. I don't think he killed her in a burst of anger. I think it was planned in advance, methodically. Prior to that night (the Police intimated tonight that Laci was killed after she talked with her Mom on the phone at 8:30pm on the 23rd, and all was well), he'd already been hard at work making his little cement blocks, had already checked the tides in the Bay, and had already taken out a life insurance policy on her. Those are at least 3 things which, taken together, could suggest advance planning.

I don't think she had a clue about his philandering. She was too happy and ecstatic about her baby. A cheated pregnant woman isn't happy. And remember, when she talked with her mother late on the 23rd, everything was fine and they were talking about the plans for Christmas Eve.

It doesn't sound plausible that out of the middle of nowhere, when she's clueless, that he would suddenly volunteer he's having an affair and wants out so that she could get angry on the day that the whole family was expected to come over for dinner. Nope. Don't forget all this pre-planning he'd been doing, too.

I don't think he wanted to divorce her. I think he simply wanted to get rid of her and the baby.

Maybe that's what i find most chilling. I dont' think he was ANGRY. I think he's cold and calculating.

I have been listening to the old interveiws with SP kinda sheds a different perspective on what he has said.

Gives me an eerie feeling.

I keep flashing on the Iraqi citizens and there practice of slapping SH statues with shoes. I imagine the citizens of Modesto that are lining the streets may be thinking about that right about now.
