How many registered Democrats are there in the population around Ithaca? I doubt its anywhere close to the 94% recorded on the faculty campus. Ithaca College is located in Tompkins County. Although there is a Democrat registration plurality, it is not overwhelming. 2/3 county-wide elected officials are Republicans, and Governor Pataki carried Tompkins County in each of his races.

A plurality of Democrats, huh? If only we could enforce political diversity on Ithaca College by shedding half of its Lefties, it would be much closer to how the folks in Tompkins County actually voted.
