I did a search for the song you mentioned on Wednesday's thread and found some interesting info that I posted below. Click on the blue title to hear a sample of the song.

Words: Charles Wesley, Hymns and Sacred Poems, 1741.
Music: Bradford, arranged from George F. Handel, 1741.

I Know That My Redeemer Lives

I know that my redeemer lives.
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, he lives, who once was dead.
He lives, my everliving Head.

He lives to grant me rich supply.
He lives to guide me with his eye.
He lives to comfort me when fain.
He lives to hear my soul's complaint.

He lives to silence all my fears,
He lives to wipe away my tears.
He lives to calm my troubled heart.
He lives all blessings to impart.

He lives, my kind, wise heavenly Friend.
He lives and loves me to the end.
He lives, and while he lives, I'll sing.
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.

He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
"I know that my Redeemer lives!"

He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
"I know that my Redeemer lives!"

"I know that my Redeemer lives!"

Thanks ever so much, Aqua, for posting "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" for me and for all to enjoy.

The words say it all for this Easter celebration, don't they?

When this hymn is sung with descant by a full choir, nothing is more thrilling and inspiring to make the the heart happy and the soul soar.

Happy Easter and God's blessings to all.

Leni
