CHEERS!! Good investigative work Chi-Town!!

Send them our best wishes from the left coast!
I'm about a 1/2 hour from a major Army base here in the Northwest, and when the troops have artillery practise, they literally shake the mobile home. In fact, when we had the last earthquake, at first I thought it was just artillery at the Fort! Hehehe
While it can sometimes be a bit of an irritation at 1am in the morning, most of the time I just look at it as somewhat comforting. After the "skirmish" in Iraq (you can't call this thingie a war- if it was a real war, Iraq would be a glass parking lot and it would have been over in 24 hours [grin]) started, it all of a sudden became eerily quiet! The silence was noticable.
The troops had packed up and gone to do it for real in Iraq! I'm figuring that all that practise came in handy! And that "booming" has started up again a bit-- and it's more comforting than ever!
Here's to our troops!!
To: LoveAmerica
Well hello LoveAmerica! Welcome!
Are you working with those who have done this before?
Coordination beats the alternative, as our troops in Iraq show us.

Well of course there are questions LoveAmerica, thank you in advance for answering them!:
1. Is this legitimate?
2. What can you do to demonstrate that it is?
No offense, just due dilligence. Thank you for your patriotism, but...
3. Why would you keep such a thing so quiet for so long?

1. What do you/we really know about LoveAmerica's bona fides?
2. What do you/we really know about this alleged rally?
This looks more like a diversionary hoax with each passing hour.

due to administrative problems Perhaps the problems center around getting the permit for Grant Park?

Perhaps the problems center around getting the permit for Grant Park? Well, duh! But, that could have been eleviated with a simple cry for help from those who've gone through it before... us... Heck, the FRN would have contacted me if the originator had asked.
No bashing here, really. We just went through this though. The poster had contacts with FR, but didn't take advantage of them. We've had threads dealing with this. We talked about this incessently on the IL board.
Why didn't the planner of this event just ask? Something to hide? Unwilling to ask a seemingly stupid question? Posted a thread, but didn't bump any of us? Nor didn't even make it breaking (we would have at least seen the zot...)
I'm bewildered. I want to help, especially if that is what is wanted, but this person seems to be all about mystery. Fishy mystery...

Hello JP, a blessed passion week to you
I so honestly love that phrase, Blessed Be to you also US ;)
1. What do you/we really know about LoveAmerica's bona fides?
Well, sweets, on that you would have to ask NDanger, he took the ad for this rally.
2. What do you/we really know about this alleged rally?
Not a danged thing. That is why I was nutz for a week and called Grant Park to inquire about the permit myself. I do know it is being followed up on. I do know she was not an easy lady to reach, but managed to follow the light and sign up at FR. I guess she was clueless about the cost and need for a permit. You pretty much know what I know.
