hehehe ! Good job, John ! Thanks !

"Antiquities experts...said...they were concerned that the priceless treasures may never be recovered."
So, folks, there you have it. Our mission in Iraq was....not regime change...not uncovering WMD...nor freeing the Iraqi people, but the far more urgent task of protecting "antiquities" from "looters." In other words, we put 300,000 troops in the region to guard some museum in Baghdad. Comprende?
Small wonder Americans have tuned the media elite out.

I don't know why you all don't think we should be concerned about the fate of antiquities.

Don't you want to have these reminders of civilizations of ancient times?

To recall the past (I didn't say live in it) is to avoind past mistakes.

Beside the area were modern Iraq is now was once am empire called Mesopotamia and Babylon.

The igris and Euphrates rivers are the cradle of civilization. I think it's a shame that the artifacts from these civilazations were lost. Now I'm not saying that they art more important that the people who we liberated from Saddam Hussein and and his evil regime. I'm just saying that they di have thier place in world history and should not be destroyed.

Impressed ONCE again with Johns ability to put thought to word :o)

The "left" should be thankful, but they seem to put "politics" before our nation these days. Many of their voting base (constituents) are mentioning the disgust they feel about it. I don't think it will bode well for the left come election day.

Again, thanks for "wonderful" thread.

You are a talented writer John. But the true talent lies within your articles. (As a result of what is between your ears) :o)

Yes, it's a shame that the museum got looted. John's point was that the media HAD to find SOMETHING to show Bush's FAILED war effort. We FAILED to protect the museum, per the media. Forget OUR low casualty rate. Forget our METICULOUS planning to ensure LOW Iraqi civilian casualties. FORGET that we freed 25 MILLION Iraqis from the death grip of Saddam. Etc., etc., etc. If you believe the media, Bush FAILED because some folks looted the museum. In the history of "War is HE**", looting, etc. has happened a LOT, and if THAT's all the media can find, they ain't got nuttin', honey ! :O)

Oh, That's what they was getting at!

No, looting does not make Bush a failure in my opinoin.

I think is was a really big success story all around. that we got rid od an evil tyrant with little casualties.

{{{{{{Billie}}}}}}} - I just love the "President Poppins" graphic!!! LOL!!! *That* really made my day.

The U.K.'s Sun Online dropped the bombshell revelation Tuesday morning: "Saddam Hussein is holed up in a desert fortress with his generals preparing for a final bloody showdown, war commanders believe," having "fled to the desert village of Al Hawijah with his family, aids and a personal army as Allied soldiers [unwittingly] advanced on the city [of Tikrit]."

(((((((((JH2)))))))))))

I think I smell a lawsuit here. The "Sun" report sounds like something my very own "Inquisition" would write - LOL!!

Seriously, that struck me as something you'd see screaming at you from the grocery store check-out line, right alongside the dog-faced baby and Klintoon's latest love-child! :-)

Weekly 'Dear John' Letter:

Heck - just had to put on 'Word Speed Dial' an Auto Response that says you once again outdid that JohnHuang2 Guy..:)))

Simply Outstanding! JH2.
Casting my vote for you to have a nationally syndicated column with these for the edification of the general masses - and the delight of the conservatives who so love your efforts....

Please continue to feed our hungry minds and make us laugh in the process -
you do that wonderfully.

I'm sorry about the first photo not showing up. I should know better than to link instead of upload. This is the photo that should have been there:

Please know that the photo is just as tongue-in-cheek as John's words! I found it on Google. :)
