U.S. BOYCOTT BEING FELT, FRENCH SAY
Sixty Second Activist ^ | 4/16/03 | Richard Viguerie

W.J. Deutsch & Sons, Ltd, the number one importer of French Wines had a decrease in sales by 10% - representing hundreds of thousands of dollars, reports the Washington Post.

The Post continues that one particular New York interior decorator who deals exclusively in French products said his sales have been down 40-50% since February.

According to the Post, Chirac’s government has already toned down its antiwar talk and French politicians are emphasizing the need for moderation when talking about how post-war Iraq will be governed.

But now is not the time for us to ease off on the pressure we have put on France. In fact, we need to push even harder to make sure France changes its policy of cooperating with our enemies.

It is time that the American government joins the boycott of all things French and STOPS DOING BUSINESS WITH FRANCE.

The Sixty Second Activist Club has been making it easy for you to boycott French goods via our website at www.GoodVsWeasels.com.

But in addition to your personal boycott of French goods, I also ask you to sign a short Petition telling Congress to STOP DOING BUSINESS WITH FRANCE.

We hope you will also send this email to all your friends, so their voices can be heard in Congress too. THE MORE SIGNATURES WE PUT ON OUR PETITION, THE LOUDER OUR VOICES WILL BE IN WASHINGTON, D.C.

I've cancelled or changed two trips to France during the next 18 months. I'll be touring the Alps this summer, but changed my route to avoid France. Next summer I'll be in Newfoundland again and had planned to visit the the last remaining French-owned area of North America (St. Pierre and Miquelon, a couple of islands off the coast of Newfoundland), but decided because of the French attitude toward the US not go to the islands but just to spend more time in Newfoundland.

So there's at least a thousand dollars the French won't get. I feel good.

I couldn't be happier. Usually, you worry about hurting innocent people in these things, but based on the polls, interviews with frenchmen, and the way the french didn't even bother to get mad about the desecration of the WWI dead, I have no sympathy for them at all.

non viva la francais..or whatever. I fart in their general direction. Monty Python does the best depictions of the french and france (lower case is ment). I am sending the email to all my address books and getting some printed to pass out at stores. Lets nail these snotty children in the only place they will feel it, the wallet.

I think that the personal citizen boycott is much more effective and does not complicate the government making it policy that would negate other trade treaties. I guess what I'm saying is that it might be better if the congress did not enter into this at this time.

I've been boycotting the French ever since I saw, (where was it 60 Minutes (of mostly commercials) or Twinty, Twinty?), the story about the Simpson children Lisa and Bart enslaved on a farm in France! That did it for me! No more fine Citroen automobiles! Goodbye absinthe!

Question - I've got a Peugeot and I love it. It's a great car that was made when Ronnie was prez.

What's a Freeper to do?

Doubt I could replace it with the same type of car and many parts are Peugeot only replacement. You just can't go do Kragens and get most of the stuff.

A friend of ours has a tire store and when this first started he said that he hated doing business w/Michilen but he had to carry them because people want them and he didn't think that was going to change.

In the last 2 months when anyone asks about Michelin he just lets them know they are made in France and 99% have chosen a different tire.
