QUINCY -- Citing a lack of public support, the U.S. Forest Service is scaling back an aggressive plan to test the effects of different levels of logging on California spotted owls in the Plumas and Lassen national forests.
The study, originally designed as a measurable science-based assessment on 180,000 acres of federal land, will be revamped to emphasize on-the-ground activities instead of scientific rigor, said Matt Mathes, an agency spokesman.

Obviously there was a sense that the original plan had too much scientific rigor, and would conclusively prove some things that they did not want proven. So, the solution was to create a different plan -- one that would be more ... "flexible". Voila! The danger, she is gone!

"We still expect good scientific information, but not as good as in the original plan," he said. Translation: We will now be able to fudge the numbers more easily.

So is High School Harlot Barbie ("math is hard") now working for the forestry service?! Good to see the government maintaining their lame standards. I'm filing this in my reasons against socialized medicine ("so do you want the government that decided a comprehensive logging study was too complex deciding which medicine YOU need"... yeah that's right up there with my old road arguement).

So is High School Harlot Barbie ("math is hard") now working for the forestry service?! Tsk, tsk, spouting hate speech and decades out of touch with your heterosexual bias.
We now have a GLBTQ Forest Service, and they feel their math is just fine, thank you.
