well organized and aggressive efforts to make life very difficult for celebrities who speak out against the war. I can't help but wonder why it is that, whenever average Americans speak out against an injustice, the press collectively labels and dismisses these voices as a vast right-winged conspiracy?

Robbins:
"We will have troops engaged and we have had troops engaged for the last 20 years somewhere in the world. It's not, you can't go on that, on that basis. This war, according to the President, is going to last a very long time. Do we cancel the next election because we can't criticize this guy? Yeah, that makes perfect sense. We were thinking about cancelling the election on account of your dumb ass.

Yep. Jennings thinks the proper course of action is for anyone in support of this administration to shut up, so only those who disagree can be heard. That's his idea of "freedom of speech".
I notice he didn't have these qualms when he was busy banning Toby Keith's Angry American from ABC's Independence Day celebration. Funny how that works.

Once again, the media __________ are interjecting themselves into the news rather than just reporting it.

And, Peter, YOU can stop talking and stick to reporting...
Pretty much, the world works better with actors, acting; and anchors, reading teleprompters.
As it is, FOX rules, so that means business-wise, your channel has to be wondering...Is America likin' your anchoring...so, let's not push it, okay?

well organized and aggressive efforts to make life very difficult for celebrities who speak out against the war. Yep yesterday DH and I met during our lunch hour, grabbed a quick cheeseburger, Freeped Tim Robbins for about 25 minutes and scurried back to our offices. Later that evening I made fettuccini and we enjoyed a quiet evening pondering how to eliminate crabgrass and chickweed from the lawn.
BE AFRAID, PETER
BE VERY AFRAID!

People who provide aid and comfort to the enemy of America are traitors as defined in Article III, Section III of the constitution.
They should be more than silenced. They should be tried for treason and hanged.

Jennings is, of course and as usual, a moron. Everyone has freedom of speech -- not just the celebrities but also the "little people" who buy their tapes and disks and go to their shows. It is freedom of speech (celebrities) against freedom of speech (the former fans), and let the best man win. I've already chosen this as part of the theme of my next column for United Press International. The title is, "Who's Next?" It deals with "pockets of resistance" that must still be mopped up, namely Hollywood, the mainstream media, and university faculties.

Latest column, now up on UPI, and FR, "I Believe" (1957-2003)
Latest book(let), "to Restore Trust in America."

..Really crazy stuff. A disc, one of these, a talk radio person in the South calling for the murder of Hollywood celeb, a particular Hollywood celebrity. Crazy stuff. What is going on here? I'm so confused. Did I miss Timmy voicing these concerns when Alec Baldwin (who still lives in America last time I checked) called for the stoning of Henry Hyde and his family?

Peterless probably doesn't know or would consider appropriate the dozens of Clinton appointees, admin members who found employment in the lamestream media when their sinecures ended. A list of these people has been posted on FR in the past.

There is no effort to hush any one.
We are just replying to their statements.
The liberals are VERY upset that the "silent MAJORITY" now has avenues to express their beliefs.
The clear channels: Cable and internet technologies will be the death of vacuous liberalism.
Also, Tim Robbins, Susan Saddam Sarandon and the others have clearly come down on the wrong side of history.
They have chosen to register in the history books with Stalin and Idi Amin.
P.S. I called the National Press Club to schedule my speech and they declined to hear my thoughts!
I am being silenced for being a conservative!
