CNN made it official late yesterday: Paula Zahn is replacing Connie Chung in prime time. And to make way for Zahn's show, "Crossfire" is being shipped out of prime time.
Zahn's new live 7-9 p.m. show, "American Evening With Paula Zahn," will originate from the streetside studio in the Time & Life Building.
Teya Ryan, CNN executive vice president and general manager, who announced the changes in a memo to staff yesterday, said no decision has been made as to who will take over Zahn's duties on "American Morning."

She won't last a year in that slot. The "I am not sneering--I just smell something bad" look that perpetually haunts her face is just not made for television.

Nice take on Paula's undisguised arrogance.

She's a reasonably attractive blondeThat Jack O Lantern smile of hers creeps me out. I've seen more relaxed looking meth injectors.

What's a Paula Zahn? I had a CNN once, but I took some antibiotics and it went away.

Thank you. That arrogance seems to appear regardless of the topic or guest. Her "thanks for being with us" almost always seems to lack sincerity as it is delivered in a monotone, perfunctory manner. I wonder if she enjoys her job.

Zahn is sexier and prettier than Chung.I always preferred Joan Lunden to either of those two.
Whatever happened to her?
To: Willie Green
Joan?
Fifty two year old Joan is expecting twins in June by a surrogate mother.
Joan is the mother of three daughters, ages 15, 19 and 22.
I'm sure it will be fun for the twins to have a seventy year old mother at their graduation.

I'm sure it will be fun for the twins to have a seventy year old mother at their graduation. It probably will be fun.
Graduations are usually festive occasions.

ON THE 8 P.M. SLOT FOR CNN BEFORE THE WAR WE HAD CONNIE CHUNG. BEFORE THAT IT WAS WOLF BLITZER AND BEFORE WOLF I DON'T REMEMBER.
I remember watching Crossfire when it first started, it had Pat Buchanan and Washington Post Columnist Tom Braden, who also wrote the book 8 Is Enough. That was in the early days and Crossfire then was the show to watch, it was great.
Funny thing about Braden was, the longer he was on the show the more he started agreeing with Pat Buchanan, finally they canned him and brought forth a more liberal lefty. Never saw Braden again on another show and I had gotten where I really liked him, he was a rough weather beaten guy who had paid his dues.

I've removed CNN from my TVs.
Not in my living room
