'Knight Rider' Heads to Big Screen
Mon Apr 14, 9:06 PM ETLOS ANGELES (AP) - The 1980s television series "Knight Rider" and its crime-busting, talking car are revving up for the big screen.
The drama starred David Hasselhoff (news) as Michael Knight, owner of the high-tech Pontiac Trans Am known as K.I.T.T. The film is planned as an action comedy, Daily Variety reported Monday.
This time, Hasselhoff will serve as executive producer for the Revolution Studios project, the trade paper said. Glen A. Larson, who created the TV show, is among the producers.
It's not yet known who will star in the film.

Is this trip really necessary?

Which reminds me, I always thought they should do a crossover with Battlestar Galatica. It's obvious that KITT was a Cylon.

Pontiac has discontinued production of the Firebird, hasn't it? I wonder what car ithey will use. I guess they can always use the 2003 Pontiac Firebird TransAm. I think so, because Chevy discontinued the Camaro. What a shame, but the newer cars were getting priced out of the target market.

Since it'll be an action comedy dud, I can see Mark Wahlberg and Barbra Streisand or Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon as leading roles

That's it.

Move over, Osama - it's about to get crowded in that cave...

LOL! The A-Team had a nice Battlestar reference...

How was it that on the A-team, there were always guns and people shooting at each other, but no one ever got shot? I think in all the episodes, BA was shot just once. Of course, it was in the leg and non lethal.

The only thing that really matters is...will William Daniels be doing KITT's voice?

And they'd have to find a way to bring George Preppard(Hannibal Smith) back to life too. Wow - I didn't know he was dead. Maybe Tom Berringer would fill the part.

Thus far today, we've had stories about a boy being re-incarnated in a lizard, a bogus thread about Reagan being dead, and now this. Must be the greatest news day ever!

As long as Hasselhoff doesn't do a singing cameo in the movie...
France has Jerry Lewis. Germany has David Hasselhoff. Thanks for taking them off our hands guys!

There was a Reagan death thread? Did it get yanked?
