Reminds me of a relative who is a pilot for a major recipient of the multi-Billion dollar bailout (at taxpayer expense). Pilots got a 30% raise, Corporate VP's got a 40% raise. Then, as the money was spent, the Pilots were asked to give 20% back, while the VP's wanted to keep their money.

Yep, that's how our tax-dollars were used by the major airlines, to dole out raises to a select few; not to stabilize the industry. I say, let the bankruptcies start rolling in.

Good point. At least in the airline industry, some of the executives are just as much to blame as the unions.

Right on. This is capitalism at work. Only the strong survive. If they can't cut the mustard, they go out of business. Just like the rest of us....I can't go to Congress with my hand out if my business starts failing. We already handed out way too much money to these clowns. And, now they come sauntering back blaming everything else except their own policies. I have flown many times in the past year....on Jet Blue & South West. The other airlines need to fold....then re-open without the goonions!
