I don't know if this has been speculated upon in any of the CNN threads, but these seems to me to be as pre-emptive attempt to get ahead of what I'm sure CNN fears will be the finding of documents showing CNN complicity and cooperation with the Saddam (excuse me: President Saddam Hussein) regime. JMHO.

Saddam often threatened exposing the treachery of those he blackmailed, so a pre-emptive CYA confession (most likely to a lesser charge) by CNN is a good assumption.

It makes you wonder if there are many more parties than the U.S. government and persecuted Iraqis who'd like to see Saddam and his henchman dead, but for entirely different reasons.

Hmm...I wonder if a certain multimillionaire with a CNN connection used his money to buy Baghdad museum artifacts from Saddam some years back?
