If I were the Secretary of the Army I would have already pushed to have Retired General Barry McCaffrey brought back on active duty to be served an official reprimand. He was the first high ranking former military officer, I saw, who went public with his criticism of Rummy (and in effect, W) and he did it in the studios of BBC on Pennsylvania Ave. He is a disgrace to the uniform he once wore, imo.

the American military has lost two Abrams tanks

None of the crew members were hurt, so it seems likely the damage was light enough that the tanks could have been repaired-if they could be recovered. Does anyone know the fate of these two tanks?

The media liberals destroyed themselves with this act. This same "Woe is us!" crap was blowing through every pore in the media. But every night, Americans saw nothing but success on their own televisions. Yes, that was really Baghdad. So that's a Presidential Palace. Goodness gracious, look at all those Iraqi tanks in flames. C'mere Martha, look at this, they're dancing in the streets!

Meanwhile, back at the media, it's all gloom, doom, and defeat... quagmires, setbacks, and Vietnams.

As they used to say in Russia, "there's no truth in Pravda, and no news in Izvestia."
