You're an uneducated, brain dead, anti-Semite ( and I'm not Jewish, BTW ), who hasn't the knowledge of a dead worm. Instead of spewing venimous personal attacks, how about
PROVING your point ? Oh, what's that ? You don't actually know any facts, you just like to sputter garbage and waste bandwidth ? THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT !
Look, Hollywood has NOT always been the way it is today. From the time of the earliest silents ( which were churned out in N.Y., N.J. and a few in Chicago ), they've made many, many MANY pro-Christian as well as pro-American movies. There have been more movies made from Biblical stories, the early Christians, Saints, priests, nuns, the Reformation, the early Protestant church, etc. than you are willing to acknowledge. Perhaps it's because that you are sufferring from an appalling dearth of knowledge.
Bigottry doesn't fly here, bozo and neither does mordant stupidity; both of which, you are an exmplar of. ; ^ )

Yes we are.....CHARGE!!!!!

Really ? Well, that just
proves that not everyone, with a high IQ, is knowledgeable.
Look, you stated spurious garbage, personally attacked me, because I dared to call you on it, and haven't supplied factual info to refute me. Either put up, or shut up.
Here' bozo, I'll even start the " pro " movie list for ya; that's what a great humanitarian I am. :-)
INTOLERANCE
BIRTH OF A NATION
UNCLE TOM'S CABIN
QUO VADIS ( many version; at least three movies were made from this novel, THE FIRST IN 1913 ! )
BEN HUR ( TWO FILMS; ONE SILENT, ONE TALKIE )
THE ETERNAL MAGDALENE
THE CROSS RED NURSE
THE SERVICE STAR
THE EVIL EYE
BOLSHEVISM ON TRIAL
THREE FACES EAST
ROOKIES
THE BIG PARADE
LILAC TIME
DAWN PATROL
THE LONE EAGLE
TELL IT TO THE MARINES
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS ( Three American version, at least/ on silent )
SHOULDER ARMS
AMERICA'S ANSWER
HEARTS OF THE WORLD
And that's just a wee beginning for ya...all prior to 1928 and I've left out westerns, president bios, FFs bios, the hundreds upon hundreds of movies about Jesus Christ's life, and it's all been off the top of my head; brainiac wannabe.
Now, apologise, stop breaking both your arms attempting to pat yourself on the back, and supply some hard facts ! ;^)

EXACTLY what I was looking for....much more comprehensive than the list I had started...thanks for doing the footwork!

This isn't about blacklists. This is about the public choosing which way to spend it's money.

Oh? You really think they have a sexual relationship -- as opposed to a PR arrangement? I don't.

". . . are we more inclined to punish those who dare to utter views with which we disagree?"
The author clearly overlooks one inescapable fact: those who have money and power are listened to and are given every opportunity to express those views in whatever medium available. Does the ordinary person have the same opportunity? A big fat NO. As a result, the general populace is bombarded with these powerful people influencing their every thought. These powerful people have got to be held accountable for what they say because they're clearly using undue influence, which is a powerful weapon. The only way that the ordinary person can have a say is by a united front with others of like mind to hold these powerful people's feet to the fire. And by golly, if boycotting gets the job done, well then so be it.

Kristofferson served in the Army, if memory serves. I find it hard to believe that he is anti-war...I saw a History Channel special where he spoke how proud he was of his jump wings and his time as a Ranger. Does anyone actually know what Kristofferson said or did, so I can contrast this with what I've heard the man say? Thanks...
To: Sharpshot613
I've read that he was a chopper pilot. As to being a ranger, he might have been to Ranger School and thus been allowed to have the Ranger tab on his uniform. I get the impression from observing him that he wants to be a decent guy. Bad company, though, can corrupt good morals. Have you heard what he supposedly chose as his epitaph? "The goin' up was worth the comin' down."

I'd wager that Mary Steenburgen (T. Danson's wife) should be added to that list.
She is one of the clintoons' pals from Arkansas, one of the FOBs.
I can't imagine she wouldn't hold the same views as her husband because of that.
To: 185JHP
Okay, that makes more sense. I like his work too and don't think it's fair to lump him in with the likes of the Garafalo twit or Sarandon. Thanks for the info
To: lurky
sorry, that was said partially tongue-in-cheek. I was thinking Dixie Chicks and how their manager came out after their sales had plummeted and blamed us Freepers...
To: mattdono
Another thing that was not pointed out was that the pervue of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (PSI) was limited
exclusively to communist infiltration of the federal government.
In other words, MCCARTHY HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HOLLYWOOD!!!
