Hollywood, CA The pro-abortion Feminist Majority Foundation on Monday launched its nationwide "Never Go Back" campaign, which aims to keep abortion legal in the United States. And it's receiving help from several of Hollywood's elite actresses and musicians.
Katherine Spillar, executive vice president of the abortion advocacy group who spoke at the campaign launch, said that the Supreme Court could have vacancies as soon as this summer, and those vacancies could threaten Roe v. Wade.
Spillar emphasized the importance of Senate leadership especially pro-abortion Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD) in questioning all of President Bush's judicial nominees about their abortion stance and filibustering the nomination of anyone who does not take a stand on abortion rights.
"What a jurist thinks matters. It affects how they vote," Spillar said.
Actress Amy Brenneman, who was scheduled to be the event's featured speaker but could not attend the meeting for medical reasons, sent a video message to the group of about 50 people saying, "Reproductive freedom is the most important issue facing our leaders today," adding, "It is not a feminist issue. It is not a liberal issue. It is a women's health issue."
Other celebrities involved in the 20-state campaign include: Ashley Judd, Whoopi Goldberg, Tyne Daly, Minnie Driver, Cybil Sheppard, Morgan Fairchild, Camryn Manheim, and Gillian Anderson.
The impact is astounding when you really THINK about it. It has long term negative effects on women and men emotionally, and for women in many cases physically. It not only ends the life of one human being, but, all the generations that person would have produced.
So many people whine about social security, and yet never think about the 50 million people that aren't here today because of abortion that would be contributing to the ecomony and to social security.
Not to mention that we were made in the image of God, by God and for God. God says children are a blessing. These people are essentially saying God's a liar and children are a curse.
My niece found out her mother had two abortions. After her father told her while he was crying in his beer about the two abortions. She was devistated and said to me, you mean I could have had other brothers or sisters? What about the fact that she could have just as easily aborted me? See what it does to the children of women who abort? And the list of damage goes on and on.
Out of about 50 million abortions, how many of those do they think were women? They are feminists in name only.
