[history]
Eason Jordan, chief news executive at CNN, published in the New York Times a truly rare article last Friday: an op-ed capable of genuinely shocking even world-weary cynics in a jaded world. He announced that, over the last dozen years: "I made 13 trips to Baghdad to lobby the government to keep CNN's Baghdad bureau open and to arrange interviews with Iraqi leaders. Each time I visited, I became more distressed by what I saw and heard - awful things that could not be reported because doing so would have jeopardized the lives of Iraqis, particularly those on our Baghdad staff."

As I have been writing here and elsewhere for years -- including in a book I once offered FR's "Trixie," Eason's Baghdad revelations -- for which he and his every co-mass-murderer aught be tried [In the "international courts" set up and operated by CNN's client-state henchmen?] and sentenced to long prison terms -- are but the tip of the iceberg.
Whether in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Khartoum, Moscow, Zurich and/or Zanzibar -- and in the KKKLi'toons' "administration!" -- CNN and its every-bit-as-abjectly-corrupt international-media colleagues [Reuters, AP, BBC et al] are all the craven servants of the petty and less-than-petty dictatorships for which they shill.
Just like "our" state department's foreign service, come to that.
And the KKKli'toons "justice."

Has Hillary and Bill Clinton released their CNN prisoners taken in the 90s?
To: Brian Allen
I wonder what else CNN knew?
Did they know that there was going to be an attack on the WTC and the Pentagon? How far will CNN go to preserve their profitability?

To: Brian Allen
CNN and Mr. Eason also know what's going on in Cuba.
To: Samurai_Jack
And here's an even funnier thought: What if some bonehead at CNN did this and thought it would boost their ratings; you know, attempting to make themselves look like the 'honest' network.
There's yet another train wreck waiting to happen....

I felt awful having these stories bottled up inside me ...Hmmm, what other stories were 'bottled up'? Sounds like Pravda to me......

This should be proof to the world that CNN deserves absolutely NO respect because it's incapable of reporting the truth.

I am waiting for Dan Rather's OPED piece. That ought to be interesting. I presume he's older then Eason and therefore more experienced in these ways. V's wife.

"How far will CNN go to preserve their profitability?" With CNN (and lump CBSNBCABC in there, too) it's not about profitability (witness their plunging ratings).
It's about moving their agenda forward.

CNN was running a straight propaganda-for-profits deal with Saddam. Until CNN brings in honest news executives, no prudent viewer should trust CNN's current and future reporting from other foreign capitals. The CNN Blood for News scandal should be an obituary for this evil democrat-run enterprise.
Obviously CNN also provides faked propaganda news from Cuba, Zimbabwe, and every other hell-hole totalitarian/socialist toilet it "reports" from.

"Iraq. It was the jewel in the crown of CNN's international reporting reputation. But, now we know, from the unwitting pen of CNN's morally obtuse chief news executive, that it was always a false image CNN was broadcasting. The hard news was kept secret. The propaganda flowed like wine. CNN was running a straight propaganda-for-profits deal with Saddam. Until CNN brings in honest news executives, no prudent viewer should trust CNN'scurrent and future reporting from other foreign capitals.
Hopefully, more and more people will become aware of the great danger their family's are in from the left wing communist movement and stop voting and supporting liberalism; perhaps the day will come when the public school dis-information campaign will stop.

To improve on an idea I just saw on lucianne.com: CNN = Collaborator News Network.

Now, mind you, I think that CNN and the NY Times would be the first to tell you that there is NOTHING going on in North Korea. No killings. No torture. No starvation of citizens who oppose the dictatorship. Heck, it's not even a dictatorship! Kim Jong Il was elected.
Any effort by the US to change the regime in North Korea would be deeply immoral -- perhaps the most immoral act in all of human history! And it would be a quagmire.

Oh and remember the big deal on CNN (and ABC, CBS, etc) about the 100% Iraqi "vote" for Saddam last November. I especially cherished the comments from these media maggots that Saddam had a far higher percentage vote than Bush.
