[history]
Jubilant crowds in Baghdad show that President Bush and his team were spectacularly right and his critics spectacularly wrong. And this says something about who are the smart guys and who are the dullards in this society -- or at least, what kind of mindset leads to good judgments.

Liberals are wrong about everything:
1. What constitutes national defence
2. How to build a prosperous economy
3. How to educate children
4. How to protect the environment
5. What should be the role of government in our lives

An excellent dissertation on why the Left has been pathologically wrong about EVERYTHING, lately.

This is so yesterday's news.
Watch CNN today covering the anti-U.S. demostrations.
They are covering it with close-up shots to make it look larger than it is. Almost in passing, the reporter said there were 30 or 40 protestors. But from the camera shots, you would have sweared they were choking the streets of Baghdad.

Cheney: He's right again. A truly formidable thinker, the old media hands like Russert and Koppel were fools to underestimate a man who's proved his capability and shrewdness by repeated successes for so many years both in and out of government.
I think Sowell has made some good points but I think he underestimates that it is the theology of different Christian churches which underpins most of these changes. The churches are still the foundation of political life in America, in a way that we don't find anywhere else in the world. Naturally, it is the Lefty churches (NCC and the whole pack of liberal anti-war mainstream churches) who were again proven wrong by current events. They never learn, either in theology or politics.

Of course, if you frame it in terms of their unadmitted goals they are right about everything. They are only interested in power over people.

Lemmesee... It's nigh to twenty years on and Reagan still hasn't been credited by the "intelligencia" for his history making accomplishments. So we can expect Dubya, Cheney, Rummy, Wolfowitz, et al, to recieve their due credit sometime next century.
