El Cajon is home to the second largest Iraqi population in the US, and many were there expressing their heartfelt gratitude to Americas troops. They even brought a truck with thousands of bottles of bottled water and soda which they handed out free to all who attended.
The best part---not a single anti-American in sight!
God Bless America!

That was a fun rally. I went after church but saw nobody I could ID as a FReeper. :-( There was a cute couple with a little dog who had a sign I liked a lot: First Iraq then Hollywood.
The Chaldeans were great. As I was leaving to walk to my car (I parked behind the old Cal Store), three guys of Arabic origin begged me for the flag I was carrying (small handheld flag) which I happily gave them and the driver started to wave that flag. :-) I love the East County!

We drove by about 1 pm...had gotten a late start and could not stay, but drove up and down the street a few times. Lots of flags and signs and HONKING. I wish I had brought my cmera, my facorite pic was of an Iraqi American girl about age 6 holding the Iraqi flag.
There were people lining both sides of the street for about 3 city blocks, I think, and lots of drive by honkers like us!

I'm so darn sorry I had to work today! I would've been there. I'm glad to hear it went well.

There were a bunch of little Iraqui kids yelling "USA!" and that was the best part for me: they were adorable.

The local Iraqis were sure out in force today. One speaker said last Wednesday (the day Saddam's statue was pulled down by our troops) was like the 4th of July to the Iraqi people. I think that sums it up quite well.

Yes, there was lots of color and lots of smiles. Two things that you just don't see at the anti-America protests.
I drove down Washington that day also. The Iraqi people have been celebrating since then. Today was another day in a long celebration for them. They really do appreciate what we've done. Leftist propaganda can't, and never will, hide that truth.

Great Rally and Great Photos. Keep up the good work.
To: sandyeggo
I'm not sure that's a good thing. :) It used to be. It's changed quite a bit in the last 25 years.

Thank you for the great photos, S40. I didn't bring my camera yesterday. You took pictures the media didn't, the kind that show that there were a lot of people in the crowd :). I was happy to see so many patriots there! Thank you all for showing up, and being great supporters of our troops!
BTW, did you know they did a liveshot on MSNBC at this rally?
To: Lisa in EC
Thanks for the compliment Lisa.
No...I didn't know MSNBC was there.
I saw only one camera and it belonged to Fox6.
It was a great rally though.

From what I hear, we had WB 5, Fox 6, NBC 7/39, CBS 8, Independent 51, ABC 10 plus the national MSNBC. I hear we rocked the 10 and 11:00 news. Unfortunatly, I slept through it all!
I pray that the MSNBC coverage gets back to the troops near and far. I know the Rally upon their return will rock the whole country.
There are many more pictures on www.skyriders.net Just find "El Cajon Rally".

We actually did a live interview on MSNBC at 11:45. They were out there all day. People have been e-mailing up from all over the US saying they saw the rally. We are getting copies of the pictures out to the ships as we speak. If anyone has more pictures they'd like to share please e-mail them to me.
