4/12/03 MILWAUKEE, WI - Milwaukee County Sheriff's Dept. estimates 7,000 attended the "In Our Name Rally." The event was co-sponsored by Just Cause Wisconsin and WTMJ Radio 620. Speakers included Rep. Paul Ryan, Rep. Mark Green, Sen. Herb Kohl, State Sen. Bob Welch, Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke, radio personality Charlie Sykes and Jeff Wagner.
A sea of flags adorned The War Memorial on Milwaukee's Lakefront. This moving tribute to our armed forces made NBC National news. War Memorial Marketing Director states the crowd estimate to be farily accurate based on past events.
Donations for OPERATION INTERDEPENDENCE and THE GIRL SCOUTS OF AMERICA have not been tallied, but organizers say response was great. Letters were also collected and estimates are in the thousands.
Organizers are planning upcoming events, and will announce plans in the coming weeks.

Well I'm confused! "In Our Name" is the anti-American crowd. Were you counter-protesters, or have the "In Our Name" crowds converted and come over to the good side?

I am not part of the fundraiser here. Just an ordinary American, who believes in individual Liberty, and Freedom.
I guess I've been around here for about 5 years or so now. Time sure flies!
When Jim Robinson started this site, it was because he was fed up with the liberal media, and how they would not let people worldwide know about the corruption of the Clinton Administration. A few of us, equally concerned, (with great luck) found it fast.
In the early days, FR was a day-to-day operation, always on the brink of bankruptcy. Jim kept on, and we chipped in when it became too much. We knew how important this site was, and is. Sometimes, it came down to the wire, and we wrote checks, and sent them in, as best we could.
Look at it now. We all get our best information from this site. It is huge, with thousands of posters, and millions of readers. Yet Jim still keeps it alive because of his conviction, and he is absolutely NOT making a profit on it. He just believes. As do we.
BTW, did you know that the founder of this site is in a wheelchair (sorry Jim; I know you think it doesn't make a r*ts a$$ difference. Hey, some folks out there need to come down a peg, like I have.).
Think of it! In the darkest days of the Clinton Administration, there was a lone internet site where people with integrity, brains, and sheer gumption could discuss the dangers faced by the US. Not on CNN, for sure.
Earthmovers like Drudge, Ann Coulter, Rush, WFBuckley, his brother, Savage, Buchanan, both houses of Congress (many) check in to see what we think.
The opposition checks it out, too. Like the NY times staff, CNN, etc. Trust me, they all come here to read. Even YOUR post. You know by now how they are whining about Rush? We're next, as soon as they figure out how they can trash this site without it getting a million hits.
I've been broke; I've been not broke. I've slept in my car. I know how it feels to be squeezed tight with bills. Folks with giant bills: You're not alone, and you have friends here. :)
If you love this site as much as I do, please, please sign up for automatic payment of just $3 per month. Don't be embarrassed if you think this is too little. It absolutely is not. You $3 a month folks are our grassroots movement heroes. Be proud. Become one of the thousand points of light here, and you will so feel proud every month. We'll thank you for it, and are so glad to have you on board.
I know things are rough out there. But you are tough, and a member of the greatest grassroots freedom movement in 100 years. Together we are making history, and will change the world, as we already have. The best is yet to come.
Many countries out there would consider this website illegal. They hate us, for our freedom. Their systems cannot stand, in the face of Freedom. The people there read us when they can, when they are allowed to, and are not being tortured. They flock to us, America, because they want to be free. Help us help them.
Would you please, please consider signing up for just $3 a month? Please? Thats all it takes, really, believe it or not. You will make a world of difference, to, well, the world. Be proud, Americans, and please help out!

Meanwhile in San Francisco, what the local (liberal) Fox affiliates 10 PM news described as several HUNDRED demonstrators gathered in the rain at the Civic Center to protest the Occupation of Iraq. Originally ANSWER had planned this International Day of Action as a peace rally but Coalition troops and the Iraqi populace took care of that for them so they changed their focus.
Theyre running out of steam people. Their crowds grow smaller; ours grow larger. To those of you in sane parts of the country - Thank You! And keep up the good work.

Herb Kohl should have stayed his behind back in Washington, or in the bleachers of the Bradley Center watching his stinky Bucks basketcase team.

I got to hear part of the event on WTMJ radio. Funny line, paraphrasing: "Now that Saddam's statue is down, we could put up a big blue shirt..."
(Local Ma-waukee in-joke, lol)

It was a great crowd, the Urinal Sentinel said 1,000, but that number is insane to anyone that was there! If you think there was only 1,000, look at the pictures
http://web-nuts.com/usa/4-12-03/ and you will see several thousand flags!
I had a great spot, right along where all the speakers walked to make their way to the stage so I got to talk to a few. Kohl scared me when I turned my head he was reaching to shake my hand LOL. A lady asked him why he keeps voting against Miguel Estrada and he just smiled and looked away, so I said in his ear, "You know your constituents want him on the bench", then he just walked away LOL. I do give him credit though, he knew he would be in for that and came anyways. His little tease at the end would have gotten him pelted with eggs in another crowd LOL
OK, how do we draft David Clarke for Mayor? the man is just amazing, his comment when the Marine put the flag over Saddam's face was great! He said "Eat it you jerk!" How can a leader like Clarke be a DemocRat? I know he's a Dem in name only (for political reasons) and the fact that a leader like Clarke is a Dem has to drive the Liberals nuts LOL
Whew, when is the next (Victory?) rally? I'll be there!

"Not In Our Name" is Hollywood Lefties Anti-American open letter to our military. "In Our Name" has been our counter-response to the whackos and is very Pro-Bush and for Supporting Our Troops.

What you said Monroe. Free Republic is the leading news source in the world. I'm sitting here now watching John Gibson on FOX reporting things I read here yesterday. They are waaay behind the curve. I'm a monthly donor and I never miss the money. I thought of the newspaper I pay more for and never read, and the magazines I was paying for, so I just dropped a magazine and give that money to FR. You can do without a McDonald's meal once a month and be a pretty big monthly donor. If Jim had enough monthly donors the fund raisers would not be necessary.
