On the fall of the Soviet Union the Russians made the best of a bad situation and infiltrated the politics of France and Germany. They then cemented relationships in the Middle East and funneled their offensive military capabilities into those countries to undermine the USA. Invading Iraq was a declaration of war by the USA-not only on Iraq- but on the countries supporting Iraq (the Soviets). Putin knows the Cold War is back.

Bush and Blair were not invited to attend the meeting that the little 3 had to discuss what they would and would not accept for the future of Iraq.

As to whether an invitation was sent for celebration, sure hasn't been in our press, so have no clue if Bush and Blair were invited.

Now I could hardly expect Bush and Blair to go to any event if there is evidence that Putin was holding Saddam's hand and spying, providing weaponery to defeat the US & UK.

Time will tell what the evidence shows.

Allow me to suggest that the next time President Bush stares into someone's eyes and sees his soul, he does so with a firm grasp on the person's scrotum.

Or, as a perhaps wiser president said, trust but verify.

They were found in Baghdad, at the Intelligence office headquarters, in Arabic. I doubt that they are forgeries, in other words, I think they are authentic.

There is ONE slim chance, that may save Putin. It just MAYBE possible, that Putin, while relatively friendly with the Saddam regime, was not aware of the extent of this intelligence sharing and tangible support,that maybe, just maybe, some Russian intelligence officers, who still hate the west were doing it, without Putin's knowledge. Not very likely, but possible.

But Putin better come through with the straight scoop and make amends, or there goes his chance of being part of the prosperous west.

I keep rereading this paragraph and there is no other way of interpreting it, other than not just intel sharing, but supporting ACTION, as in terrorism against Western targets.
