Saddam's WMD's most likely stashed in Syria. WMD programs also in concert with Libya. IMO, what we find in Iraq will only be the tip of the iceberg.

And you think this has changed ? Are all Russians like you ? +++
Maybe I very indealistic but I thought that with progress of civilization the rule of might(barbaric) was changed on rule of law.

No need to put Russia on the terrorist state list.
Nothing that a little assistance to the Chechen freedom fighters can't fix.

"US can't stand that Russia may think differently. "
---
Yes, "differently", as in proving to be our ENEMY, clandastinely fighting against us, through other government's who unknowingly or knowingly are becoming puppets of Russia.
Russia was bent on world domination, hence the Soviet Union, the East European countries under their control and increasing influence in S. America, etc. But the US stopped them and the house of cards collapsed.
And instead of taking its place in a Democratic international community, as it appeared to do, Russia continued its fight against us and for world domination, by contolling and supporting the Saddam regime, to take control of the ME and the world's oil supply.
Russia have a lot of oil of their own, plus control of the ME, would have put the entire world at Russia's mercy.

Did you read past post #1 before deciding to post that?

There's more than 1000 sites that are on the inspection list. So far less than 25 have been insepcted. Give it time... it's only been 3 weeks. Russia, France, Germany delayed our entry to prevent our discovery.
We are now in possession of the country and will find everything there is to be found.
We will also develop information on what Saddam moved to Syria and what evidence the Russian "diplomats" destroyed.
And what precise aid was rendered by the two Russian generals feted by the Iraqi military.

My theory is, and has been for a long time, dating even to the Yeltsin era, is that Russia foreign policy is not as simple as us v. them, as black and white as that. A large camp in Russia, signified by the STRONG objections, possibly the strongest objection of any, of the Foreign Minister Ivanov to the Coalition at the UN. Putin, though his hands may not be entirely clean, signifies the camp that knows all of this, knows it is unwise, but cannot (or knows it is unsafe to) do anything against it. Match the public stances of Putin vs Ivanov, you will see what I mean.

We didn't think Russia would work against us in our efforts to rid the world of its cruelest despot.+++
No I for that but along the law. One does bigger wrong when exchanges the law with lynching. Saddam win if he compels US to violate her principles.

But these documents, AND Russian's actions of trying to keep us from going into Iraq prove that they still had strong ties with Saddam, and were actually using Saddam against the West and for control of ME oil.
I guess this was was about the oil all right, to stop the Russian's from controlling the world's oil supply.
To: RusIvan
You just compare US goverment structure then France's then Russia'sShow me where the russian government has rights that originate from the individual and not granted them by the state.

But yet some people on here continue to defend Putin and Russia and will flame people that don't think that Putin is what he pretended to be. If I am proven wrong, then I will apologize, but the more we learn about Russian involvement in Iraq, the most convinced I am that Russia is not our friend!

Putin, Gorbachev, Yeltsin, all flawed, all old Commies. You color their Red heritage with the knowledge that being a hardline Red was a fatal move in this era. Some serious schizophrenia in their leadership for the last 15 yrs.

Yep... when we can locate and interrogate certain individuals the pieces will fall into place.

If they desire another Cold War, we'll just have to bankrupt their pathetic asses once again. And if they desire a Hot War (without nukes), we'll take out their forces with the greatest of ease.
