Mr. Petroskey,
Thank you! Thank you for having the courage to stand up to the liberal Hollywood crowd and their blatant anti-Americanism. Many Americans feel the same way as I do, that it's about time these people are held responsible for their actions and that there are consequences for their behavior. The great thing about living in such a wonderful country like this is that both groups are well within their rights to their opinions and actions!
Hard-working Americans like myself feel that the comments and actions of many of the Hollywood left have provided aid and comfort to our enemies abroad. Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon should not be welcomed at the shrine of America's pastime. You, Mr. Petroskey, did the right thing in refusing them a platform from which to preach their anti-American rhetoric. It's amusing to note the hypocricy in Mr. Robbin's statement to the press, that he feels our actions are some type of bullying tactic aimed at silencing him. In essence, Mr. Robbins seeks to prevent OUR right to speak out, to exercise OUR rights as consumers.
American patriots are exercising their rights to free speech, exercising their rights as consumers to inform companies that would employ these entertainers to sell their products. We aren't buying! We will not forget their attacks on America, their siding with interests against their own country. It's time to send a message to those anti-American entertainers that seek to make a living based on earning the dollars of hard-working Americans like myself...You're Fired! You've abused your star status and now your license has been REVOKED.
We do not wish to see the faces of Liberal Hollywood in our places of entertainment. This is our right as Americans.
We support and thank you, Mr. Petroskey.

Petroskey: Hall shouldn't be a platform
The Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown is a special place.
The game's greatest players, managers, umpires and executives are honored here, and it's where the game's rich history is preserved. Those who have served in the U.S. military are also honored here. Active duty and retired military personnel receive free admission. Last Memorial Day, a plaque was dedicated to honor the 64 Hall of Fame members who have served this country in the armed forces during wartime.
As much as the Hall of Fame honors our armed forces, this institution should never be used as a platform for public pro-war sentiments nor public anti-war sentiments. Given the track record of Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon, and the timing with our troops committed in Iraq a strong possibility existed that they could have used the Hall of Fame as a backdrop for their views. Mr. Robbins and Ms. Sarandon have every right to express their opinions. But The Baseball Hall of Fame is not the proper venue for highly charged political expressions, whatever they may be.

Tim Robbins was told not to make any political statements at the Academy Awards, and there he was flashing the peace sign. Now he is astounded that the Hall of Fame would assume he would make a similar gesture at their ceremony.

You mean the Looney Lefties have to take responsibility for what they say and will be held accountable for past bad behavior?

Well said, Those two hacks needed to be fired. I hope they get the message, but I doubt it. Their heads are bigger then Baghdad Bob's lies.
