CNN Knew of Torture Since 1991 - Did Bill Clinton Know?

Since Eason Jordan's mea cuppa today about turning the other way during Saadam's reign of terror since 1991, we have to ask the next logical questions, and DEMAND ANSWERS. Since a bureau chief undoubtedly reports to the president of the network, it's safe to assume that Mr. Jordan advised CNN head Rick Kaplan what was going on. Shouldn't he be questioned as to what he knew and when did he know it.
We therefore also have to ask Mr. Kaplan, who was a regular at the Clinton White House, and often bragged about his closeness to the President, whether he informed Mr. Clinton of these facts, and of CNN's involvement in the cover-up.

What did Clinton know and when did SHE know it. On 9/11, Hillary Clinton did not appear on Capitol Hill for the single most inportant hearing of her Senate career. A hearing of the Senate Education Committee (chaired by Ted Kennedy) at which Laura Bush was to testify. Both Mrs. Bush and Senator Kennedy were there and made statements to the assembled media who were to cover the hearing. Hilary Clinton was a no show. Why? She never has explained her absence other than to say she was on a cell phine and about to leave for the hearing, which would have made her late. She was on time (in fact early) for the rescheduled hearing in January, 2002, and appeared in various photo ops with Mrs. Bush before the hearing. Is it possible that her husband was given a "tip" and informed his wife? After all, he took no real action against terrorism and terrorists and may have been given a "quid pro quo" for his forebearance.

From
Dereliction of Duty, p.139
One late-summer Saturday morbning, the president [Clinton] asked me to pick up a few days' worth of PDNs that had accumulated in the Oval Office. He gave them to me with handwritten notes stuffed inside the folders and asked that I deliver them back to the NSC.
I opened the PDB to rearrange the notes and noticed the heading "Operation Bojinka." I keyed on a reference to a plot to use commercial airliners as weapons and another plot to put bombs on U.S. airliners. Because I was a pilot, this naturally grabbed my attention. I can state for a fact that this information in late 1996 the president [Clinton] was aware of it.

Agree. So who do we put pressure on to investigate this?

Watch C-SPAN tomorrow to see which way the InternationalANSWER crew is going to go next. They need these demonstrations to keep morale up and to feed their coffers but they need to move the goalpost. Where to? Tune in tomorrow to see if you can figure it out and to see real live commies planning your demise.

I have absolutely no doubt that Clinton knew that Saddam Hussain used torture. I also have absolutely no doubt that George Bush and Ronald Reagan also knew it. Didn't stop them from dealing with him.
To: hoosiermama
Just please please let's not bring this up with Larry Klayman. He is probably already drafting a lawsuit already, but we actually want this to go somewhere.
To: paul in cape
One additional point: The sanctimonious tone of the Times is sickening, considering their OWN record of covering up leftist atrocities over a 65 year period.
That said, CNN has always been about making a profit ANY way they can, and kissing up to the ( hopefully late ) Saddam-ite is probably the least of their sins.
Much as I'd like to see Ol' Bubba twisting and turning in the wind, there is probably no court in the US that could compel a (former) president to disclose raw intelligence.
It would be nice to see CNN admit they briefed him...

"You can bet Clinton knew about it"
Although he knew of it, he probably didn't really care about torture as much as WITNESS ELIMINATION, which he used extensively.
Alamo Girl has a long list of American citizens that were simply ELIMINATED, due to their knowledge of the incriminating details of the Clintons' misbehavior. This list includes not only his enemies, but his own Secret Service bodyguards who learned too much, over time.
Come to think of it, we have experienced our own LIBERATION, right here in America, as we first, lawfully got rid of our own dictator, and now, the true depths of his misdeeds are slowly coming to light.
Let the light of TRUTH shine into the darkness of endless LIES that these slime propagate, to cover the real motives of their actions.

Bubba was busy dipping his cigars in... er ah not brandy.
not brandy = Monica.
Bubba could care less about the difficult situations like Osama or Iraqis being tortured or North Korea.
He like Uday was in power for the chicks.

What makes Hillary's no show even more interesting is that her husband and Al Gore were out of the country on 9/11. What a coincidence...

How many Americans, including those supporting the war, even know that Baath Party is a socialist party? 10 posted on 04/11/2003 4:44 PM PDT by TopQuark Most likely not many. The socialists have pretty much covered up the truth of that term for years. As far as most people are concerned, Nazi's were conservatives, not socialists.

You must be new here. Nope. Been here two years and five days, give or take.

You're absolutely right. Clinton was in Australia. Is it possible that he received a cell phone call from someone, such as an agent of James Riady. Then he would have had to call Hillary by either a hotel phone or more likely a cell phone to warn her not to go to the Hill on the morning of 9/11. If so, it is also possible that those phone calls were monitored by the NSA or CIA.
