Red, White, and Blue (Print the Lyrics)
We don't have no plastic L.A. Frynds, ain't on the edge of no popular trend. Ain't never seen the inside of that magazine GQ. We don't care if you 're a lawyer, or a texas oil man, or some waitress busting ass in some liquor stand. If you got Soul We hang out with people just like you
My hair's turning white, my neck's always been red, my collar's still blue, we've always been here just trying to sing the truth to you. Yes you could say we've always been, Red, White, and Blue
Ride our own bikes To Sturgis we pay our own dues, smoking camels, drinking domestic blues You want to know where I have been just look at my hands Yeah, I've driven by the White House, Spent some time in jail. Momma cried but she still wouldn't pay my bail. I ain't been no angel, But even God, he understands.
My hair's turning white, my neck's always been red, my collar's still blue, we've always been here just trying to sing the truth to you. Yes you could say we've always been, Red, White, and Blue
Yeah that's right!
My Daddy worked hard, and so have I, paid our taxes and gave our lives to serve this great country so what are they complaining about
Yeah we love our families, we love our kids you know it is love that makes us all so rich That's where were at, If they don't like it they can just get the HELL out!
Yeah!
My hair's turning white, my neck's always been red, my collar's still blue, we've always been here just trying to sing the truth to you. Yes you could say we've always been, Red, White, and Blue
oh..oh..Red, White, and Blue....
Red, White, and Blue
oh..oh....Red, White, and Blue

So Skynard as a band are not democrats...I take it. Are they like Ted Nugent? How about Mellencamp or Bon Jovi are they conservative non democrats?

How many guys in a band have to die before they change the band's name?

Mellencamp is as liberal as the day is long. From what I've seen Bon Jovi is smart enough to keep his politics to himself.

Most of the current members are related to deceased members. Southern families you know.

I was wondering that too. Didn't a few of them die in a crash or something a few years back? Like maybe 15 years or so.

They were very good -- everybody thinks of "Free Bird", but I used to love to drive to "Mississippi Kid".
Van Zant was certainly a genuine redneck and proud of it, the best I could tell.

LOL! I'm going to see The Beatles next week (Zach Starkey, Sean Lennon, Stella McCartney, and some guy George went to high school with.)

Well Johnny Van Zandt reformed it with good intentions. He decided the band shouldn't end the way it did and started calling people up. It was just supposed to be a 1 tour last hourah kind of thing but they packed the stadiums and found out there was still an audience for that. 16 years later it's still going strong, and they've done a good job of keeping that kick ass geetar sound.

While I've always been a Skynyrd fan... The Allman Brothers are the best... you should hear their new CD, Hittin' the Note, it's fantastic.
