49k here on a good night. I've got to do something, SAT ISP or move I guess. I'm too far for DSL and Cable ISP has been dangling the carrot for years but no service yet.

It's like the glacier races sometimes.

Don't ask me...I'm mostly computer ignorant. All I know is I have fast stuff, lots of memory and a cable modem that makes me cry if it goes down.

Which is hardly ever. About 2 days (off and on) in the last week which is way more than it ever has been down. The longest before that was about a few hours.

I was told I couldn't get it after I bought the modem and all (the CompUSA guy said my address was online). I almost gave up until my upstairs neighbor told me he had it.

I then ran into a field worker and asked and he said, "sure, what idiot in customer service said you can't"?

Found out our little area just isn't listed well on their maps.
