I had to use an AOL backup for 24 hours (after suffering for more than that) when my cable went out.

I was in heck! I forgot how slow even 56K was.

49k here on a good night. I've got to do something, SAT ISP or move I guess. I'm too far for DSL and Cable ISP has been dangling the carrot for years but no service yet.

It's like the glacier races sometimes.
