Saddam's mother, Subhah Talfah, then married a man named Hassan Ibrahim, known as "Ibrahim the Liar." Barzan Ibrahim, the half-brother who was just killed, according to this report, headed the Intelligence Service; Barzan's full brothers Watban and Sabawi were made Interior Minister and director of General Security. Uday, Saddam's older son, hated Watban and managed to have him sacked as Interior Minister about 1995.
