The only way to win this argument is to argue that women should be able to do anything that they can do equally as well or better than men.

If they can do the buttons on a Patriot Missile as well, then they should be permitted to.

I've got an argument that the leftist feminists can't beat. Women don't belong in combat because;

"Human Beings have somehow managed to keep the female half of humanity out of the direct effects of war throughout our history. All efforts should be directed toward getting the male half out of combat instead of getting the female half in."

I've tried this argument and they absolutely cannot respond. It's fun

I do hope that this young woman has the good sense to tell the press and everyone else to get lost, cause they will use and abuse her. It's not worth it.

I was in the military when the only women were WACS assigned to clerical duties. They were wonderful and far better than men to deal with typing, file keeping, record keeping, etc., etc. My son was in the military 30 years later when women were assigned to the same duties as men. He told me they were forever falling out on marches with 40 pound packs. There is something wrong here.

Will she become a soldier of truth – or remain a prisoner of political correctness?

Opportunitists of all kinds will try to make her into something that that supports their agenda. The one fact that remains above all is that Jessica Lynch is a Private First Class in the Army of the United States of America.

feminist goal of a genderless society

G_d help us. The only thing worse than a communist society would be a gender free society. I'd rather be dead.

I am patiently awaiting PFC Lynch's first comments on this matter.

Should be interesting because it seems she is from a family that 'calls it the way they see it'. The father, mother and brother seems to be of that personality.

We are most likely to get the 'real picture' soon.

As a highly educated, "women can do anything men can do", I have to say- keep women off the front lines. I think it just leaves women in more danger to getting abused- you can rape a woman a lot easier than a man. That's the first thing we all think when we see a woman POW, and it's bad enough without "going there." It's not a matter of brains or ability- it's the matter of they are at a lot more physical danger if they are captured than men are.

This is a no win battle!

More and more people will continue to die because of the women that are in a man's job.

Just look at the police, fire, and paramedics. All of the physical requirements have been lowered to accommodate women, which has caused agencies to now lower all physical requirements so as not to discriminate against males and those that don't fit into either category.

Yes, there are definitely exceptional women who are just as physically fit and as strong or stronger than their male counterparts. Then I say bring them on! If they can do the job then let them in.

But when you now have munchkin cops, firefighters and paramedics then who exactly is going to do the heavy lifting?

Maybe you would like to be the soldier, sailor, airman, marine or citizen lying on the ground and injured or wounded and see one of those munchkins appear? You better hope that you are a munchkin too, because you are just going to lie there until they get enough munchkins to carry your ass out - hopefully still breathing!

Jessica Lynch was a truck driver.

She got lost.

She probably stopped to ask one of the local people for directions and ended up being ambushed.

A man driver wouldn't have stopped for directions, thus no ambush.

'nuff said.

I was telling my wife precisely this same story yesterday. However, I also told her about Schroder's interference in the case involving the female aviator that got special treatment which resulted in her death. She flew her aircraft into the side of a carrier after having made prior mistakes that would have had male pilots removed from the program. Schroder intervened and got her reinstated when others received no such treatment. Anybody remember her name and more specific information? Thanks in advance.
