Well, to be technical, they DID accomplish their objectives. The power and water plants were not hit by the military at all, and civillian casualties seem to have been kept at a minimum.

The objective to avoid civilian casualties and to avoid destroying important infrastructure was that of the military, not the shields. Despite their claims, they chose not to defend the power plants and water works but to hide there, knowing that the military sought not to strike them. Their presence was inconsequential. Had they attached themselves to Iraqi tanks, they would be dead.

Any reasonable person would agree that if striking a given target was worth risking the welfare of a single US airman, then it would have been worth risking, say, five or six thousand of these bootlicking Shields. Human Shields were present at all major power and water plants in Baghdad. Human Shields remained so throughout the invasion and bombing of Iraq. Subsequently the power and water serving millions of Iraqi civilians in Baghdad was never "knocked out" by U.S./U. K. bombing.

Human Shields had their heads up camel's butts. Subsequently the camels of Iraq were NEVER "knocked out" by U.S./U.K. (and 50 other coutries in this single country liberation) bombing. "This is a GREAT victory for Human Camel-Butt Shields" declared the human shield in a muffled voice becuse his head was still stuck in a camel.
