I really hope the Iraqis tell the rest of the Arab world to take a hike. Where the hell do other Arab countries get off condemning the liberation when the only opinion that should count is that of the liberated Iraqis? The Iraqis have no problem with being liberated, so who cares what other Arabs think? It's none of their business, and the Iraqis should tell them so. The audacity of other nations condemning the war when the Iraqis themselves are grateful for it is mindboggling and disgusting.

Don't forget that Israel helped years ago by acting independently and destroying the French-built Osirak nuclear facility. At the time, George Will called it one of the greatest peace-loving acts of the century.

Iraq is an overwhelmingly Muslim country. That is indisputable. This is about the people of Iraq, not their (now) previous government. My statement stands.

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, who last week had warned that the war would create a hundred Osama bin Ladens, avoided such rhetoric while calling for an early handover to the Iraqis. "The fact of Iraq being governed by its sons, and as soon as possible, is the quickest way to ensure stability for the Iraqi people," he said. Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal was similarly noncommittal. "The government in Baghdad we will deal with is the one chosen by the Iraqi people," he said at a news conference.Wow. Thank God We have Egypt and Saudi Arabia to educate us about the importance of self-government.
