Note to the gullible bastards in the Arab world:
Never, EVER forget that it was an overwhelmingly CHRISTIAN nation that freed YOUR Muslim brothers and sisters from such horrible tyranny. YOU turned your naive, US-hating backs on them for decades......WE freed them. You sucked up the lies you wanted to believe. Take note........never, EVER forget.

"Now no one believes Al Jazeera anymore," he said. Wow.

"Why did he fall that way? Why so fast?" she asked. "He's a coward. Now I feel sorry for his people." Perhaps there is a clue ... The Iraqi people are their own masters now, not Saddam's people. Such a concept will be hard for many Arabs to grasp.

"Why did he fall that way? Why so fast?" she asked. "He's a coward. Now I feel sorry for his people." She feels sorry for a people who've just been liberated from the shackles of a murderous, crimminal regime? Has she seen the celebrations? Some people just refuse to extricate their head from the sand.

"The future of Iraq will now have an American smell," the reporter remarked. "This flag represents what is really happening in Iraq." I hate say it (not really), but we smell better than they do.

I wonder what old Osama, or his ghost, is thinking now? His whole deal was to provoke the United States into attacking an Arab country which would unite all the Arabs and lead to a climactic battle between the Americans and the whole Muslim world.
His plan to provoke us into attacking an Arab country worked, and sure enough a bunch of Jordanians, Syrians, Egyptians, Saudis, and Palestinians all rushed to the battlefield.
But they had read way too much Blackhawk Down and ended up with the strategy of trying to ram buses loaded with 50 guys into a tank.
And oddly enough the Arabs of the country that was attacked danced with joy at the arrival of the Americans.
So you can bet that Osama, if he is still alive, is the most stunned man on the planet right now. He has probably been telling his boys for years about this plan and exactly how it would go down. I would love to hear his explanation to them this morning.
"Tell me again Osama why we arranged for the first loss of an Arab city to western forces in decades? Why exactly did we do that Osama? Please explain it again"

In neighboring Syria......the tumultuous scenes were available to those with satellite dishes but ignored by the official state television, which, instead, showed a program about Islamic architecture. I guess they wanted a last look at that architecture before it's MOABed.

Hard-line television stations such as Al-Manar, which is controlled by Lebanon-based Hezbollah, a militant organization, focused entirely on the casualties of the war. First of all, Hezbollah is terrorist, not "militant." And secondly, those pricks will be disgracing Hell before the year is up.

"We are all in shock," Abu Dhabi Television's reporter told his viewers from Baghdad's streets. "How did things come to such an end? How did U.S. tanks enter the center of the city? Where is the resistance? How come Baghdad falls so easily?" Yeah, a DemoRat buddy of mine was asking those same questions today.

Saddam's regime was a "dictatorship and had to go," said Tannous Basil, a 47-year-old cardiologist in Sidon, Lebanon. "I don't like the idea of having the Americans here, but we asked for it," he added. "They come here because our area is filled with dictatorships like Saddam's." Ah, sanity.

Actually, Saddam and the Baath party were more Aethiest than Muslim, the Baath parties entire motive for existence was to remove religion from the government. I understand your sentiment, but the Saddam Regime is a poor choice for this argument.

Yes, Osama thought we were weak, spoiled "Americans". He thought that Clinton somehow represented America and that he and his monsters could dominate us by fear. I'd like to know who's frightened now.

"I don't like the idea of having the Americans here, but we asked for it,". I daresay they begged for it.

I heard on the news this evening that the Iraqis in Saddam City were hunting down these "foreign" Arabs that had come to fight for Saddam, and they were killing them. Sweet.

Yep. If the Arab nationalists remain true to their odd fantasies they can only conclude that Osama has directly caused a HUGE freakin tragedy to their cause and belief system.
But they are certainly capable of deluding themselves. This one is going to be might hard to rationalize though.
We did exactly what Osama wanted us to do and behaved the way he wanted us to behave and caused the Arab world to lose their "main" city to a western army.
Will they alter their delusion or will they start to face reality? We shall see.
