Well, Saddam did keep referring to his "nuclear mujadeen" in the Iraqi state press. So this really shouldn't have come as a surprise to anyone.
In fact, given Saddam's press comments, the UN's stance that the insepctions were working was completely outrageous.

"... Marine Capt. John Seegar.
"How did the world miss all of this? Why couldn't they see what was happening here?"
Marine nuclear and intelligence experts say that at least 14 buildings at Al-Tuwaitha indicate high levels of radiation and some show lethal amounts of nuclear residue, according to the Pittsburgh daily. The site was examined numerous times by U.N. weapons inspectors, who found no evidence of weapons of mass destruction
There's your answer Capt. Seegar, writen there in red.

When Bill Tierney reported this site to ElBaradai, he also told him where to go and discover the high rad levels from an underground atomic device that was tested. The blixite fumbler refused to visit either site for confirmation.

U.S. Marines have located an underground nuclear complex near Baghdad that apparently went unnoticed by U.N. weapons inspectors No way! It's a set-up! The Marines flew it in for show! < /sarcasm>

Blix and the other guy were paid buy Saddam not to "look" very hard. The UN inspections were never intended to work only to make the Lib's feel good that something was being done. Wish Blix was as stupid as Ritter and his payoff would be exposed!
Oh, SCREW THE UN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saddam's willing executioners.
I'm sure many fled to Syria, though some might still be in Tikrit. I frankly hope they flatten Tikrit, since there are no "innocent civilians" living there - only those colluding with the regime. No, it's worse than that. They're pretty much the SS of the Baathist party.

There was a guy on Fox.....named Bill Teirney who told them of this site before the war started I think this was the guy on art bell's old show, now coast2coast, saying the same thing at least one and a half months ago. Specifically mentioned they (inspectors) had to look exactly there but UNDERGROUIND

Blix & Ritter should be held for trial. They are war criminals for their collusion.

More likely they were PAID not to see.

Marine nuclear and intelligence experts say that at least 14 buildings at Al-Tuwaitha
indicate high levels of radiation and some show lethal amounts of
nuclear residue, according to the Pittsburgh daily.
The site was examined numerous times by U.N. weapons inspectors, who found
no evidence of weapons of mass destruction.
The following SPECULATION is based on about 20 years experience in using radioactive
compounds in academic research and medical testing environments.
IF this report is TRUE
AND
the US Marines are finding lots of radioactivity in areas searched during the
"Blix Days"...here is my speculative fear.
Perhaps a lot of radioactive work was done in underground areas that even
Blix and Co. couldn't (wouldn't?) access.
With the onset of real war about 3 weeks ago...maybe this really nasty (high specific
activity) material was moved from the underground areas in a REAL HURRY and SLOPPILY...
leaving a some real "hot spots" of contamination...even at lethal levels if someone
stands in the wrong place for more than 10 minutes, etc.
I AM only speculating...but I pray that this doesn't mean that beaucoups of a nasty
nuclear (radioactive) witches-brew are now being moved around or being distributed
to Saddam's fellow travelers abroad...to be used in places where our defenses
are not set on "high".

This story is appearing in various places -- but so far every story I've seen references the original article, not some other source.
