TELL THE CHILDREN

I don’t typically give such advice; please consider it a plea.

Turn on the television, so that your children might see

what an honor it is to be born in a nation,

that just set 23 million people free.

Let them see the honorable young soldiers,

willing to die to save our liberty.

Then tell them how privileged we all are,

to be citizens of this country.

So, just this one time,

turn on the ol’ TV.

Let the children see our countrymen who,

just set the Iraqi people free.
