Should American Christians Die To Liberate Iraqi Muslims? Should a Jewish Carpenter have to die for you?

Should a Jewish Carpenter have to die for you?Ooooh, good one. Exactly the point. I'm reminded of an old WWII poster, showing a line of men in WWII uniform marching past a rank of Valley Forge Revolutionary soldiers; the caption reads "AMERICANS ALWAYS FIGHT FOR FREEDOM". Such is the case in Iraq...Muslim or not.

I did not even read the article...why should I? Who cares what religon someone practices? The question is should Americans die to liberate oppresed peoples around the world?? Yes they should. The more free the world is the safer the world is. It's that simple.
Damn...you'd think we were living in the Middle Ages and the Pope was a King like figure sending people off to the slaughter for a piece of ground, that has some symbolic meaning to some man made dogma.

It's the "religion nonsense" that gives meaning to humans dying for other humans. God did that for us; why should we not that for others?

Should American Christians Die To Liberate Iraqi Muslims? Yes, if the cause of war is just (which in this case I believe it is.) Christ died for the ungodly. Every human being is made in the image of God.
But not every human being is a child of God. You are only a child of God if you become a Christian.
John 1:12 - "Yet to all who receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God..."
Ephesians 1:4-5 - "In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ."
So, spiritually speaking, my "brothers and sisters" are felolow Christians.

I don't agree, it's a human thing...regardless of your religious beliefs. Christians die for Christians, Jews for Jews, Muslims for Muslims, Christians for Muslims, Jews for Christians, etc, etc, even pagans for Christians!!....it's human nature, not a religious thing. God made us that way, regardless of your earthly, religious beliefs.

Speak for yourself if you don't mind. I do not need a man made dogma, no matter what it's called to tell me what is right or wrong. If you do, well great, I'm glad. But don't lump me in. Thanks.

If you hadn't noticed, my fellow FReeper, humanity in the raw does not gravitate toward liberty. The greatest threat to freedom in our lifetimes, the Marxist philosophy, is an athiestic one. 100 million in this century alone have died under the banners of the godless.
Our nation is the greatest, most powerful, and above all most free nation on the face of the earth. This will continue as long as the Lord sees fit. It is no coincidence that the freedom enjoyed by a nation's citizens is directly proportional to their Christian natures, IMHO. ;)
To: Mr. Lucky
"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword." Matt. 10:34 The sword He refers to is an spiritual sword meant to cut to the heart of good and evil, to free the souls of the oppressed, the spiritually oppressed.

True, this is the greatest nation in history, that's one of the reasons we all can have humble opinions. My HO, is that the desire for liberty, is a human trait, and has nothing to do with religion. I also do not believe that our country is the way it is because of Christian natures.

Exactly the case of "humanity".
Has everyone here forgotten that there is a Christian component (aside from the Kurds) among the citizens of Iraq? They may be a minority, minority but they have been more repressed than all the others.
